This study is set up as a phase I prospective, single center, device interventional pilot study carried in office setting under local anesthesia. It will assess the tolerance and safety of target fusion ablation of prostate cancer tumors using Laser Induced Thermal Therapy (TFA-LITT) guided by fusion imaging in men 50 to 80 years of age with low to intermediate risk prostate cancer Prostate Cancer is currently managed with in a discrete fashion where patients either enroll in active surveillance protocols (No intervention) or undergo full intervention via whole gland treatments - most commonly radical surgery or radiation. These treatments have not shown definitive gains in all cause survival and not uncommonly harbor undesirable adverse effects, most notably: impotency and incontinence. Such events elicit significant and noticeable changes on a male lifestyle and for most prostate cancer tumors are considered overtreatment. This study aims to evaluate the use of TFA-LITT in the office setting under local anesthesia - greatly decreasing patient perioperative surgical risk - focused on the organ sparing cancer lesion ablation, where organ function is preserved. The fundamental objective is to determine the tolerance and safety of TFA-LITT in men with low to intermediate risk prostate cancer, successful performed in the outpatient office-based setting under local anesthesia directed by fusion imaging. Secondary objectives include: 1-Biopsy proven cancer control of ablated areas 12 months after procedure; 2-Uroflowmetry and urinary function Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) at one, three, six, nine and 12 months; 3- Sexual function Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) at one, three, six, nine and 12 months; 4- MRI changes of ablated area one, three and 12 months after TFA-LITT; 5- Absence or presence of ejaculation after TFA-LITT. The purpose of this research is to determine patient-reported outcomes after weight loss surgery, including changes in health, mood, quality of life, health satisfaction, and emotional health, in low-risk patients. Weight loss surgery has been well studied for patients with body mass index (BMI) 35 kg/m\^2 or more and those with weight-related medical problems who have a BMI 30 kg/m\^2 or more. However, outcomes after weight loss surgery in patients with BMI under 35 kg/m\^2 and without co-morbidities have not been well studied. Read Less

The study will consist of a 24-week-long trial examining outcomes in patients with Major Depressive Disorder and suicidal ideation who will receive intravenous (IV) ketamine and intranasal (IN) esketamine, compared to a large sample of matched historical controls. Patients will be recruited from an inpatient psychiatric unit. Eligible patients who provided informed consent will be enrolled in the study that will include a eight IV ketamine treatments, 13 esketamine treatment visits, seven long assessment visits, five short assessment visits, and daily surveys. Inflammation occurs in many brain diseases including Alzheimer's disease. In Alzheimer's disease, amyloid starts accumulating decades before the start of forgetfulness. Basic scientists have reported that inflammation but not amyloid is linked to forgetfulness. When people pinch a finger, it gets swollen. Similar changes occur in brain from various causes. New medications are under development to help healing and prevent permanent damages in the brain. When people pinch a finger, they can check if the injury is healing or getting worse by watching. Investigators can watch inside of the brain using a special camera called positron emission tomography (PET). It is currently possible to watch inflammation in the brain by taking pictures of a molecule called translocator protein (TSPO). But the problem is that by imaging TSPO, investigators can catch changes in more than one kind of cells. The information is not specific to each cell type. Such vague information is not useful to monitor the effect of new medications for inflammation. This proposal attempts to develop a novel method to capture changes in each of two major players in inflammation, microglia and astrocytes. To do so, investigators will take selective pictures of one cell type by using a novel imaging agent for PET. Investigators will also take PET pictures of TSPO. Investigators will process these two kinds of PET pictures using advanced mathematical methods and extract specific information on microglia and astrocytes. The purpose of this study is to determine the benefit of Cellworks Singula™ reports on physician and molecular tumor board treatment recommendations across a large set of pan-cancer indications who have already received first-line therapy. The study is also to determine the benefit of Cellworks Ventura™ reports on physician and molecular tumor board treatment recommendations across a large set of relapsed or refractory pan-cancer indications. The primary objective of this study is to survey physicians and molecular tumor board perspectives of the benefit of Cellworks Singula™and Cellworks Ventura™ reports in facilitating treatment decisions in pan-cancer patients. The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about how unconditional cash payments equivalent to $1,000 for 24 months (also called 'guaranteed income') might help families experiencing homelessness and/or unstable housing in Santa Clara County, California. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. What is the impact of guaranteed income on homelessness and housing stability among families experiencing homelessness or housing instability? 2. What is the impact of guaranteed income on the health and well-being of families experiencing homelessness or housing instability? 3. In terms of size and frequency of cash payments, do families prefer monthly recurrent payments ($1,000/month) vs a larger up front amount followed by smaller monthly payments ($6,500/month, then $500/month)? Is one payment strategy more helpful than the other in terms of achieving improved housing stability, health, or other measures of well-being? Read Less
