This health services interventional study investigates the effectiveness of central oncology navigation (SOC ) alone and central oncology navigation with a new role called an "oncology research navigator (ORN)" who is embedded in central oncology navigation cancer care delivery. This study will examine two patient cohorts: Cohort 1 will enroll patients with new cancer appointments within genitourinary (GU) or thoracic cancers. These clinics have not yet implemented the central navigation program. Participants will be enrolled pre- and post-implementation of the central oncology navigator within these cancer groups to evaluate the effectiveness of the central oncology navigator alone. The second cohort will enroll participants with new cancer appointments within gastrointestinal (GI), hematology, and breast cancer (clinics where the central navigation program was implemented). These individuals will be randomized to receive standard of care, which for these cancer types includes central oncology navigation or the intervention of an oncology research navigator in addition to SOC. This intervention will involve baseline and biweekly follow-up for a total of 3 months. Interactions with the ORN will include facilitating participation in supportive care services and clinical trials. All participants will undergo baseline and follow-up patient-reported outcomes and data collection. The study will evaluate the impact of the central oncology navigation program alone, as well as the addition of the ORN on patient quality of life, as well as enrollment into studies and participation in supportive care services. This is a Phase 2 multicenter, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled study that will evaluate the safety and efficacy of host-directed therapeutics in hospitalized adults diagnosed with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) utilizing a platform trial design. Listener training offers a promising avenue for improving communication for people with dysarthria due to Parkinson's disease by offsetting the intelligibility burden from the patient onto their primary communication partners. Here, we employ a repeated-measures, randomized controlled trial to establish the efficacy of listener training for patients with PD and their primary communication partners. This translational work will establish a new realm of clinical practice in which the intelligibility impairments in PD are addressed by training partners to better understand dysarthric speech, thus elevating communication outcomes and participation in daily life. This phase II trial tests the effectiveness of golcadomide and rituximab as bridging treatment before chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy in patients with aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma that has come back after a period of improvement (relapsed) or that has not responded to previous treatment (refractory). Patients that are able to receive CAR T-cell therapy have a potential for cure, however, many will not be qualified to receive therapy due to relapse. Bridging therapy is therapy intended to transition a patient from one therapy or medication to another or maintain their health or status until they are a candidate for a therapy or have decided on a therapy. Golcadomide may help block the formation, growth or spread of cancer cells. Rituximab is a monoclonal antibody. It binds to a protein called CD20, which is found on B cells (a type of white blood cell) and some types of cancer cells. This may help the immune system kill cancer cells. Giving golcadomide and rituximab as bridging therapy before CAR T-cell therapy may kill more tumor cells and may improve the chance of proceeding to CAR T-cell therapy in patients with relapsed or refractory aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The primary purpose of this pilot study is to investigate a novel approach to the treatment of cognitive symptoms that persist despite prior antibiotic treatment for Lyme disease (Post treatment Lyme Disease or PTLD). Aim 1: The primary aim of this study is to assess whether the processing speed of individuals with PTLD can be enhanced by combining transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) with computer based cognitive training games. To achieve this aim, over a 4-week period, all individuals with PTLD will participate in at home adaptive cognitive training combined with either active stimulation or sham stimulation. The novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has spread all around the world and testing has posed a challenge globally. Health care providers are highly exposed and are an important group to test. On top of these concerns, health care workers are also stressed by the needs on responders in the COVID-19 crisis. The investigators will look at different ways to measure how common COVID-19 is among health care workers, how common is the presence of antibodies by serological tests (also known as serostatus). The investigators will describe health worker mental and emotional well-being and their coping strategies in their institutional settings. Lastly, the investigators will describe how knowing serostatus can affect individuals' mental and emotional well-being and how to cope in the midst of the COVID-19 response. This will help to how to better test and help healthcare workers in the COVID-19 pandemic and prepare for possible future outbreaks. Read Less
