This study is open to adult patients with solid tumors who have a KRAS G12V mutation. This mutation is often found in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), colorectal cancer (CRC), pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and other cancers. The study is for patients whose cancer has spread through the body and for whom previous treatments were not successful or treatment does not exist. Patients must also be positive for HLA-A\*11:01. The purpose of this study is to find the best dose of AFNT-211 that is safe and can shrink tumors in patients. AFNT-211 is an investigational therapy and this is the first time that AFNT-211 is being administered to patients. AFNT-211 is an autologous T cell product which means that it is made from a patient's own T cells. These cells are engineered and grown to recognize the KRAS G12V protein on the cell surface of cancer cells. AFNT-211 is infused into patients after a short course of lymphodepleting chemotherapy. Patients will frequently visit the study site. The doctors there will regularly check the size of the cancer and the patient's health. They will also take note of any unwanted effects. The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about how asthma influences brain function. The main questions it aims to answer are: * How airway inflammation in asthma affects the brain; and, * Whether airway inflammation in asthma is related to symptoms of depression and anxiety Over the course of 3 visits, participants will: * Complete questionnaires * Complete computer tasks * Undergo allergy skin test and breathing tests * Give two blood samples * Give a sputum sample * Complete brain imaging scans Researchers will compare results between participants with asthma, and participants who do not have asthma. The study plans to learn more about what happens to the body after bariatric surgery in people 12 to 24 years old. The study aims to understand why people respond differently to bariatric surgery and how to define success beyond weight loss alone. The study also plans to learn more about whether a medication (semaglutide) can help people 12 to 24 years old who, between 1 and 2 years after bariatric surgery, have not lost as much weight as expected. The goal of this study is to design and test the first mobile contingency management (CM) smoking cessation intervention for military Veterans undergoing major elective surgery. Smoking is the leading risk factor for postoperative complications and is associated with longer hospital stays, reoperations, and 30-day mortality. Smoking rates among patients undergoing major elective surgery are high, 22.3-43.0%. It is imperative to identify efficacious, strategically timed smoking cessation interventions for surgery patients. CM incentivizes smoking cessation through positive reinforcement (rewards) when bioverified abstinence is achieved. To ensure feasibility, CM must be tailored to the clinical context. CM for smoking cessation has never been delivered before and after major surgery, nor has mobile CM bioverification been trialed perioperatively. The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if consuming a higher protein diet that includes one serving of beef each day, in combination with resistance exercise, improves wellbeing in postmenopausal women. It will also tell us about how higher protein intake changes body composition and blood values related to health. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does higher protein intake combined with resistance training improve mood and sleep in postmenopausal women? * What other health benefits to postmenopausal women experience when the follow a higher protein diet and participate in resistance exercise? Researchers will compare three groups 1) postmenopausal women living their daily lives as usual, 2) postmenopausal women consuming a higher protein diet, and 2) postmenopausal women consuming a higher protein diet and participating in resistance training. Participants will: * Consume a higher protein diet for 16 weeks * Participate in an at-home resistance training for 16 weeks * Keep a diary of their food intake, sleep habits, and mood * Have health assessments every 4 weeks Read Less

This phase II trials studies how well acalabrutinib with or without obinutuzumab works in treating patients with early-stage chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma. Acalabrutinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as obinutuzumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. It is not yet known whether giving acalabrutinib with or without obinutuzumab will work better in treating patients with early-stage chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma. Background: The United States is undergoing a suicide epidemic for its youngest Veterans (18-to-34-years-old) as their suicide rate has almost doubled since 2001. Veterans are at the highest risk during their first-year post-discharge, thus creating a "deadly gap" for them. In response, the nation has developed strategies that emphasize a preventive, universal and public health approach and embrace the value of community interventions. The three-step theory of suicide suggests that community interventions that reduce pain from reintegration difficulties and promote connectedness for Veterans as they transition to civilian life have the greatest likelihood of success. Recent research shows that the effectiveness of community interventions can be enhanced when augmented by volunteer and certified sponsors (1-on-1) who actively engage with Veterans, as part of the Veterans Affairs' Transitioning Servicemember/Veteran (TSMV) Sponsorship Initiative. Method/Design: The purpose of this trial is to determine how to implement the Veteran Sponsorship Initiative in six cities in Texas in collaboration with the US Department of Defense, VA, Texas government, and local stakeholders. Texas is an optimal location for this large-scale implementation as it has the second largest population of Veterans aged 18-to-34-years-old and is home to the largest US military installation, Fort Hood. The first aim is to further determine the effectiveness of the Sponsorship Initiative, as evidenced by measures of proximal variables (reintegration difficulties, health/psychological distress, VA healthcare utilization and connectedness) and distal variables (suicidal ideation and behaviors). The second aim is to determine how best to implement the Veteran Sponsorship Initiative in Texas with the intent of future expansion in more states. TSMVs (n=630) will be recruited from military installations six months prior to discharge and prior to moving to target cities. The evaluators are utilizing implementation strategies, such as building community partnerships and external facilitation. Evaluation will be conducted through interviews with TSMVs and periodic reflections with key stakeholders to identify barriers, facilitators, and adaptations. Outcome evaluations will be conducted with TSMVs completing surveys and data collection from working with stakeholders. Discussion: This evaluation will have important implications for the national implementation of community interventions that address the epidemic of TSMV suicide. Aligned with the Evidence Act, it is the first large-scale implementation of an evidence-based practice that conducts a thorough assessment of TSMVs during the "deadly gap". Read Less

A randomized, single-blind intervention trial to test the comparative effectiveness of an electronic health record best practice advisory system that informs clinicians of guideline-indicated and FDA-approved heart failure medications currently not prescribed to their patients with heart failure versus usual care (no alert and how things are done currently). The purpose of the alert is to stimulate appropriate medication prescription for patients with heart failure and a reduced ejection fraction.
