The RAINBOW study is a fully remote study focused on understanding and treating behavior problems in young children with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC). The first goal is to enroll a group of 100 children with TSC between the ages of 3 and 6 years old, with and without problem behaviors, to learn about how best to measure behavioral challenges in TSC and how common these behaviors are during this age period. All families will get feedback from the clinical assessments collected. Eligible children who are experiencing behavior problems will be invited to enroll in a pilot clinical trial of internet-based Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (or PCIT), which is meant to help parents better manage their children's challenging behaviors. Adaptations to PCIT are incorporated to suit the needs of TSC children and families. Some participants will be randomly selected to receive the intervention immediately and others after a 6-month delay, but all families will receive the same intervention. Intervention sessions occur on a weekly basis for up to 20 weeks. Follow-up assessments, which include play interactions, parent interviews, and questionnaires occur about 3 and 6 months after the first visit. The delayed treatment group has an extra brief assessment about 12 months from the initial visit. This study will increase what is known about the types of behavior problems that come up during preschool age in TSC and how best to help children and families with TSC who are experiencing these problems. This is a prospective, observational, multi-center longitudinal cohort study to describe the real-world effectiveness, safety and treatment usage of efanesoctocog alfa in patients with hemophilia A treated per standard of care in the US and Japan. Patients will be enrolled in the study after the introduction of efanesoctocog alfa in the hemophilia treatment landscape in each study country. Decision to initiate treatment with commercially available efanesoctocog alfa will be made by the treating physician independently from the decision to include patients in the study. No study medication is provided. The data related to efanesoctocog alfa effectiveness, safety and usage will be collected prospectively during routine visits (expected annual/semi-annual visits) for up to 5 years following enrollment /treatment initiation. The purpose of this study is to examine if we can predict sensitivity of osteosarcoma to different chemotherapy agents using tissue cultures in the laboratory. We know that different chemotherapy agents can be used in the treatment, but not every sarcoma responds to them equally. It is important to understand if testing of the tissue obtained during a routine biopsy or surgery may be useful in selecting appropriate treatments. In addition, additional testing of the tumor, including genetic testing, will help us to understand osteosarcoma better. Read Less

The purpose the research is to evaluate whether patients who receive a Donation after Circulatory Death (DCD) heart for cardiac transplantation using either normothermic regional perfusion (NRP) or direct procurement and perfusion (DPP) have similar outcomes as patients who receive Donation after Brain Death (DBD) heart using standard cold storage. The study will also evaluate whether DCD procured hearts have a meaningful impact on hearts available for transplantation at our center. Read Less

Patients with restrictive-type anorexia nervosa who are admitted to the hospital for feeding often urinate excessive amounts. Others have changes in the way that they handle acid and base. These issues prolong hospitalizations. Current data suggest that one hormone--named secretin--may control both urine output and how the body handles acid and base. This study will evaluate whether secretin levels are different in anorexic patients who urinate an excessive amount compared to those who urinate normal amounts. For this study, patients will have one extra blood draw before and after one meal during their hospitalization. The blood draw before the meal coincides with a standard of care blood draw. Also after the meal, subjects will be asked to provide one extra urine sample. Information from subject's medical records will also be used. Read Less
