This study is researching an investigational drug, ALN-HSD called "study drug". This study is focused on participants who are known to have metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). MASH is a form of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). MASH occurs when fat builds up in liver cells, damaging them, and making the liver inflamed and stiff from fibrosis (scar tissue). MASH can progress to cirrhosis (long term scarring) and liver failure (when the liver cannot perform its job). The aim of the study is to see the effect of the study drug on lessening liver scarring side effects related to MASH. The study is looking at several other research questions, including: * How ALN-HSD works to improve liver function and lessen MASH-related inflammation in the liver * What side effects may happen from receiving the study drug * How much study drug and study drug metabolites (byproduct of the body breaking down the study drug) are in the blood at different times * Better understanding of the study drug and MASH Read Less

In this pilot study, the investigators will show feasibility of the NLP-based feedback system in 20 consultations of men with newly diagnosed prostate cancer. The investigators will recruit from the practices of up to 10 physicians who typically see these patients. The investigators will report the top five sentences from each consultation across key content areas (cancer prognosis, life expectancy, erectile dysfunction, urinary incontinence, and irritative urinary symptoms) to both patients and physicians within 2 weeks of the consultation. The goal is to optimize peer coaching in order to optimize engagement and outcomes in digital therapy. The unmet mental health needs of community college students are staggering and a growing body of research demonstrates that therapy provided digitally with the assistance of trained community members without advanced degrees in mental health is an effective and scalable way to address these needs. Despite being effective for improving symptoms and functioning in those who engage in it, uptake and engagement in digital therapy is generally quite low. Recent research suggests that this is especially true of Latinx individuals, who tend to have unique and significant unmet mental health needs. To address these issues, Project 2 will examine treatment engagement, treatment satisfaction, symptoms and functioning outcomes among Latinx students at East Los Angeles College (ELAC) receiving digital therapy with peer coaching in the STAND program. This study will monitor patients during the first year following their stroke. Stroke is a very serious condition where there is a sudden interruption of blood flow in the brain. The main aim of the study will be to find out how many of those who experience their first-ever stroke then go on to develop spasticity that would benefit from treatment with medication. Spasticity is a common post-stroke condition that causes stiff or ridged muscles. The results of this study will provide a standard guideline on the best way to monitor the development of post-stroke spasticity. Read Less

The purpose of this study is to understand the safety and effectiveness of the study drug, Dysport® when compared with placebo in preventing chronic migraine. A migraine is a headache with severe throbbing pain or a pulsating sensation, usually on one side of the head, and is often accompanied by feeling or being sick and a sensitivity to bright lights and sound. Chronic migraine is defined as having at least 15 days of headache a month with at least 8 of those days being migraine headache days. Migraines are caused by a series of events which cause the brain to get stimulated/activated, which results in the release of chemicals that cause pain. Dysport® is a formulation of Botulinum toxin type A (BoNT-A), a medication that stops the release of these chemical messengers. The study will consist of 3 periods: 1. A 'screening period' of 6 to 12 weeks to assess whether the participant can take part to the study and requires 1 visit. 2. A first Treatment Phase of 24 weeks. On Day 1 and at Week 12 of the first Treatment Phase, participants will receive injections into various muscles across the head, neck, face and shoulders. The injections will contain either a dose "A" or dose "B" of Dysport® or a placebo (an inactive substance or treatment that looks the same as, and is given in the same way as, an active drug or intervention/treatment being studied). Participants will make 4 visits to the clinic in person and have 4 remote (online) visits. 3. A second Treatment Phase of 24 weeks (extension phase). At Week 24 and at Week 36, all participants will get Dysport® (dose "A" or dose "B"). There will be 3 in person visits and 4 remote visits. Participants will need to complete an e-diary and questionnaires throughout the study. Participants will undergo blood samplings, urine collections, physical examinations, and clinical evaluations. The participants of this study will have confirmed Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC) and cirrhosis (scarring of the liver). PBC is a slowly progressive disease, characterised by damage to the bile ducts in the liver, leading to a build-up of bile acids which causes further damage. The liver damage in PBC may lead to cirrhosis. PBC may also be associated with multiple symptoms. Many patients with PBC may require liver transplant or may die if the disease progresses and a liver transplant is not done. This study will compare a daily dose of elafibranor (the study drug) to a daily dose of placebo (a dummy treatment) and will last up to 3.5 years for each participant. The main aim of this study is to determine if elafibranor is better than placebo in preventing clinical outcome events showing disease worsening (including progression of disease leading to liver transplant or death). This study will also study the safety of long-term treatment with elafibranor, as well as the impact on symptoms such as itching and tiredness. Read Less

This phase Ib trial tests the safety and side effects of ERAS-801 in treating patients with isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) wildtype, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) amplified or mutated grade IV glioblastoma or astrocytoma that can be removed by surgery (resectable) and that is growing, spreading, or getting worse (progressive) or that has come back after a period of improvement (recurrent). Glioblastoma is the most common brain cancer in adults and survival rates remain poor despite treatment including surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. EGFR is a protein found on the surface of some cells, to which epidermal growth factor binds, causing the cells to divide. It is found at abnormally high levels on the surface of many types of tumor cells, so these cells may divide excessively in the presence of epidermal growth factor. ERAS-801, an EGFR inhibitor that can penetrate the central nervous system, binds to the tumor cells that express EGFR and may help shrink or slow the growth of the tumor cells. Read Less
