This clinical trial keeps track of and collects follow-up information from patients who are currently enrolled on or have participated in a Children's Oncology Group study. Developing a way to keep track of patients who have participated in Children's Oncology Group studies may allow doctors learn more about the long-term effects of cancer treatment and help them reduce problems related to treatment and improve patient quality of life. In collaboration with approximately 8 centers that specialize in iRBD we will recruit a total of 80 individuals for the study. All subjects will be enrolled into a 2-year longitudinal study where skin biopsies will be performed at 3 sites on each patient at 12-month intervals (baseline, year 1, year 2). Plasma blood collection will be performed at 12-month intervals (baseline, year 1, year 2). Detailed quantified examination, cognitive evaluation, medical history, and questionnaires will be performed at each visit. Additional biomarker, imaging and clinical information (if available) will be obtained for the purpose of determining phenoconversion to clinically apparent synucleinopathy. Subjects enrolled in the study will have baseline evaluations and follow up visits at 12 and 24 months to define any changes to clinical diagnosis (clinical phenoconversion). Skin biopsies will be repeated at the 12- and 24-month follow up visits to determine the rate of P-SYN accumulation over time and the rates of nerve fiber degeneration within punch skin biopsies. This registry will collect data on the strategies used to achieve a diagnosis of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) and Chronic Fibrosing Interstitial Lung Disease with Progressive Phenotype (ILD) and the treatment and management efforts applied throughout study follow-up, clinical outcome events and patient reported outcome data. Blood samples will be collected periodically throughout the study for use in future research efforts. For participants with non-IPF, chronic fibrosing ILD with progressive phenotype, HRCT images will be collected throughout the study for use in future research efforts. Read Less

Prematurely born children are at higher risk of cognitive impairments and behavioral disorders than full-term children. There is growing evidence of significant volumetric and shape abnormalities in subcortical structures of premature neonates, which may be associated to negative long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes. The general objective is to look directly at the long-term neurodevelopmental implications of these neonatal subcortical structures abnormalities. Investigators propose to develop biomarkers of prematurity by comparing the morphological and diffusion properties of subcortical structures between preterm, with and without associated brain injuries, and full-term neonates using brain MRI. By combining subcortical morphological and diffusion properties, investigators hypothesize to be able to: (1) delineate specific correlative relationships between structures regionally and differentially affected by normal maturation and different patterns of white matter injury, and (2) improve the specificity of neuroimaging to predict neurodevelopmental outcomes earlier. The specific aims and general methodology are: 1) Build a new toolbox for neonatal subcortical structures analyses that combine a group lasso-based analysis of significant regions of shape changes, a structural correlation network analysis, a neonatal tractography, and tensor-based analysis on tracts; 2) Ascertain biomarkers of prematurity in neonates with different patterns of abnormalities using correlational and connectivity analysis within and between structures features; 3) Assess the predictive potential of subcortical imaging on neurodevelopmental outcomes by correlating neonatal imaging results with long-term neurodevelopmental scores at 9 and 18 months, and 6-8 years, follow-up. In each of these aims, investigators will use advanced neuroimaging analysis developed by their group and collaborator, including multivariate tensor-based morphometry and multivariate tract-based analysis. This application will provide the first complete subcortical network analysis in both term and preterm neonates. In the first study of its kind for prematurity, investigators will use sparse and multi-task learning to determine which of the biomarkers of prematurity at birth are the best predictors of long-term outcome. Once implemented, these methods will be available to compare subcortical structures for other pathologies in newborns and children. Read Less

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the effect of the study drug (ZT-01) on low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) in adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D) who have been having low blood sugars ("hypos") at night. ZT-01 increases the amount of a hormone called glucagon during low blood sugar, and this may help prevent the occurrence of hypos. The main questions this trial aims to answer are whether ZT-01 lowers the number of hypos happening at night, and what its effects are on blood sugar levels. The safety of ZT-01 will also be measured. Participants will be asked to wear a study-provided continuous glucose monitor (CGM) during two 4-week periods when they will self-inject the study drug before bed. They will get ZT-01 at one of three dose levels during one period, and placebo (which looks like the study drug but doesn't contain the active ingredient) during the other. Neither the participant nor the study site will know what they are receiving during each treatment period or see data from the CGM. The participant will continue to use their usual methods of measuring blood sugar (including their personal CGM) and giving insulin during the study. The participant will be asked to complete a short diary each evening, and will be asked to upload the CGM data to a study phone every day. If a participant uses their own CGM and is willing to share information on how often they have low blood sugar with the study site at the first visit to see if they meet study entry requirements, they will have 6 study visits, 2 study phone calls, and be in the study for about 16 weeks. If they don't use CGM or don't want to share their information, then they will be asked to wear a study CGM for an extra 4 weeks to find out how many low blood sugars they have, and will have an extra visit. Study participants will be asked to give blood and urine for testing to see whether they meet the requirements to enter the study, and at the start and end of each treatment period to see if the study treatment has any effects. They will also have their blood pressure and temperature taken at each study visit, and have an ECG at 4 visits to measure the electrical activity of their heart. Some participants will be asked to also take part in a sub-study where their blood level of ZT-01 and glucagon is measured, after the first and last dose. They will be asked to stay at the study site overnight for each set of measurements (4 in total). Read Less

The purpose of this study is to determine whether pre-visit positive imagery has an impact in decreasing dental anxiety and fear in pediatric patients as well as increasing patient cooperation during treatment visits. Patients needing at least 1 composite filling with nitrous and local anesthetic will receive a picture book if they are selected in the experimental group, and no picture book if they are in the control group. Patients will be asked to be fill out a pre-operative survey and post-operative survey asking how they feel about treatment. Parents will also be asked to fill out a post-operative survey. Read Less

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety of mavacamten in patients with symptomatic obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) treated in the real-world setting. The registry study also provide a real-world understanding of the current obstructive HCM patient population, treatment patterns, and clinical relevant outcomes for patients with symptomatic obstructive HCM in the US. Background: Sealants are a great tool in the prevention of caries in the pediatric population. It has been shown that up to 71% of occlusal decay is preventable after a single sealant application in a fissure, and thus is the standard of care due to difficulty for pediatric patients in hygiene, diet, and overall home care until manual dexterity increases. Purpose: This prospective randomized case control study aims to look at the longevity of sealants with bonding agent cured prior to sealant placement vs those with uncured bond. The study will be performed by USC graduate pediatric personnel. Methods: A split mouth prospective randomized control study will be performed on pediatric dental patients at Long Beach Memorial's Children's Dental Health Clinic and USC Pediatric Dental Clinic, placing sealants with cured bond on half of a mouth and sealants with uncured bond on the contralateral half. Intraoral photos will be obtained at the initial visit and recalls to evaluate the overall retention/longevity of the sealant placement. The goal of this study is determine which sealant has higher longevity and to provide recommendations for future pediatric dentists regarding sealant procedures. Read Less

Unfortunately, some patients with Crohn's disease (CD) fail to respond to the best clinical treatments and some only experience temporary benefit. For severe Crohn's disease, there is an experimental treatment called "high dose immunoablation" followed by autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). This study removes over active lymphocytes (immunoablation) and replaces them using blood stem cells that have been taken from the patient's own body. The aim of the study is to reset or reprogram the patient's immune system to its state prior to diagnosis. Read Less
