Impact of Physical Therapy Intervention on Foot and Ankle Function
Recruiting
This research study will investigate the effect of physical therapy intervention on the function of the foot and ankle in children and adolescents with cancer not involving the brain or spinal cord. Children undergoing treatment for cancer can suffer from decreased flexibility, strength, balance and endurance from the cancer and from direct effects of the chemotherapy agents. These deficits have been shown to continue years after treatment end with adult survivors of cancer being less physically... Read More

Novel Serum Markers for Monitoring Response to Anti-Cancer Therapy
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to measure the levels of serum proteins and other biomarkers in cancer patients and in patients suspected of having cancer. We believe that some of these markers may be useful for confirming the diagnosis or for selecting patients for specific types of cancer therapies. These markers may also help to predict response to therapy, relapse after therapy, and survival after therapy.

This Study Aims to Find the Best Dose of BI 907828 (Brigimadlin) in Patients With Different Types of Advanced Cancer (Solid Tumors)
Recruiting
This study is open to adults with different types of advanced cancer (solid tumors). The purpose of this study is to find out the most suitable dose of BI 907828 (brigimadlin) the participants can tolerate. The most suitable dose is used in the second part to find out whether brigimadlin makes tumors shrink. In this study, brigimadlin is given to humans for the first time. Brigimadlin is a so-called MDM2 inhibitor that is being developed to treat cancer. Brigimadlin is taken as a tablet. Partic... Read More

Addressing Cancer-Related Financial Toxicity in Rural Oncology Care Settings
Recruiting
The financial burden, or financial toxicity (FT), of cancer is a consequential and growing problem, particularly for rural patients. It is important to improve our understanding of how financial navigation (FN) can reduce the material, psychological, and behavioral burden of costs associated with cancer care in both rural and non-rural community settings. The purpose of this study is to conduct a financial navigation program in 5 rural and 4 non-rural oncology practices in North Carolina and eva... Read More

Sample Collection and Tracking for the Developmental Therapeutics Clinic
Recruiting
Background: People who join a study in the Developmental Therapeutics Clinic (DTC) have tests. These include blood draws and biopsies. Researchers collect data from these samples. Some people take part in more than one study at the DTC. At this time, data are connected only with one single study. Researchers want to access people s medical records. This will allow them to link the research data from all their studies they have or will take part in. Researchers also want to collect medical data... Read More
