Intensive Cholesterol-Lowering and CD8+ T Cells in Prostate Cancer
Recruiting
To test the hypothesis that intensive cholesterol lowering (iCL) therapy has anti-tumor immune modulating activity, the investigators will conduct an open-label, single-arm phase II trial in prostate cancer patients who are in active surveillance and undergoing a planned surveillance biopsy in 3-6 months. Eligible patients will initiate iCL with Vytorin®(group 1, 2, and 3), an FDA-approved combination of ezetimibe and simvastatin used to lower atherogenic low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL... Pilot Study of (MR) Imaging with Pyruvate (13C) to Detect High Grade Prostate Cancer
Recruiting
This pilot clinical trial studies how well magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging (MRSI) with hyperpolarized carbon 13 (13C) pyruvate alone or in combination with 13C 15N2 Urea works in finding prostate cancer that exhibits poorly differentiated or undifferentiated cells (high-grade) and that is restricted to the site of origin, without evidence of spread (localized) in patients undergoing radical prostatectomy. Diagnostic procedures, such as MRSI with hyperpolarized carbon (13C) pyruvate, may... Read More

Difluoromethylornithine and High Dose Testosterone With Enzalutamide in Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer
Recruiting
Asymptomatic patients with metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) without pain due to prostate cancer will be treated on an open label study to evaluate effectiveness of sequential treatment with the combination of difluoromethylornithine (DFMO) and high dose testosterone in sequence with enzalutamide to improve primary and secondary outcomes.

Opioid-Free Pain Control Regimen Following Robotic Radical Prostatectomy
Recruiting
The objective of this study is to conduct a randomized clinical trial to evaluate an opioid versus an opioid-free pathway of perioperative use of ketamine, ketorolac, and IV acetaminophen followed by the postoperative use of ketorolac, and oral acetaminophen for pain associated with robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy. Escalation to use of opioid treatment for the opioid-free constituents will be available if needed.

Diagnostic Performance Of Non-Endorectal Coil Multiparametric Magnetic Resonance Imaging Of Prostate With Flexible AIR Coil (DoNEMAC Study)
Recruiting
Multiparametric MRI (mpMRI) of the prostate is an important tool for diagnosis of clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) in men with an elevated serum prostate specific antigen, which can decrease the rate of unnecessary biopsies and reduce the incidence of over-diagnosis of non-csPCa. Furthermore, there is evidence that MRI is more accurate in detecting high-grade (Gleason grade group ≥3) versus low grade cancers (Gleason grade group \<2) and therefore may serve as a useful adjunct to p...
