There are currently 32 active clinical trials seeking participants for Pulmonary Hypertension research studies. The states with the highest number of trials for Pulmonary Hypertension participants are California, Florida, New York and Ohio.
Pulmonary Hypertension in Left Heart Disease
Recruiting
The goal is to compare patients with and without varying severity of pulmonary vascular disease based upon hemodynamic signatures, echocardiographic measures, and lung ultrasound, in tandem with expired gas metabolic testing and blood sampling.

Hemodynamic Assessment of underLying myocyTe Function in Right Heart Failure
Recruiting
Right ventricular (RV) failure is recognized to worsen patient outcomes in the setting of heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF)-related pulmonary hypertension (PH), yet the investigators fall short in trying to identify and treat it. The current proposal will (1) determine the best clinical indicators of intrinsic RV myocyte contractile failure in humans with HFrEF-PH, (2) clarify underlying mechanisms, and (3) test novel treatments on RV myocytes. The long-term goal of this propo... Read More

Activity Monitoring in Pulmonary Hypertension
Recruiting
This is a prospective, longitudinal, observational study of free-living activity trackers and patient reported outcomes to test the hypothesis that daily activity will have stronger prognostic value than 6MWD in patients with pulmonary hypertension after 12 weeks.

Pulmonary Vascular Hemodynamics Before and After Mitral Valve Procedures
Recruiting
The objective of this proposal is to study circulating and echocardiographic markers of pulmonary vascular and right ventricular remodeling in patients with a WHO-2 diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension after mitral valve procedures. The investigators are proposing the study will be impactful for the early detection and prediction and of residual pulmonary hypertension (PH) that would otherwise be undetected and fatal with no curative treatment.

Identifying Right Ventricular Dysfunction in COPD Through Right Heart Catheterization, Imaging and Exercise
Recruiting
This study plans to learn more about heart function among individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). In particular, the investigators want to understand the different patterns of right ventricular response to pulmonary hypertension (high pressure in the lungs) during rest and exercise. By identifying patterns of right ventricular dysfunction, this study will help identify better treatments for patients with COPD in the future.

Evaluating Infrasonic Hemodynography

New Orleans Pulmonary Hypertension Biobank
Recruiting
Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a serious condition characterized by a mean pulmonary artery pressure \>=25mmHg on right heart catheterization (RHC). Despite advances in PH care, outcomes are still sub-optimal and further research is required into the pathobiology of the disease and development of biomarkers that can guide clinical care. The investigators are establishing a biobank to collect samples (blood, urine, stool) from patients with pulmonary hypertension, patients at high risk for pulmon... Read More
