The participants of this study would have relapsed/refractory follicular lymphoma. Follicular lymphoma is a type of blood cancer. It is referred to as 'relapsed' when the disease has come back after a period of improvement after that follows a treatment regimen and 'refractory' when treatment no longer works. Stage 1 of this trial will study the safety and the level that adverse effects of each of the study drug combinations can be tolerated (known as tolerability). It is also designed to establish a recommended study drug dosage for stage 2 and 3. Stage 1 of the study is completed. Stages 2 and 3 will evaluate and compare how long participants live without their disease getting worse when receiving the study drug in combination with other drug treatment versus the placebo (dummy drug) in combination with other drug treatment. Hot flashes and night sweats (also known as vasomotor symptoms or VMS) are the most common symptoms which bother women in menopause. This study will follow women going through menopause who have hot flashes and night sweats that cause them bother. They will be starting a non-hormonal therapy prescribed by their healthcare provider (HCP) to treat these symptoms. The women will visit their HCP's office, research center, or both. They will receive prescriptions for the non-hormonal therapy from their HCP for up to 1 year. This real-world study will provide information on outcomes from various non-hormonal therapies. The study sponsor (Astellas) will not decide which therapy the women receive. However, the sponsor will provide instructions on when the women visit their clinic, and what is recorded during the study. Some of the visits will be in-person, but most will be virtual. The virtual visits can be carried out at home using a smartphone, tablet or computer. The main aim of the study is to check if the hot flashes and night sweats that bother women change after 12 weeks (3 months) of treatment. The study will also check the women's sleep patterns, their productivity at work, and their general well-being before and after starting treatment. Researchers are looking for a better way to treat people with chronic kidney disease (CKD), a progressive decrease in the kidneys' ability to work properly, and type 1 diabetes. In people with type 1 diabetes, the body does not make enough of a hormone called insulin, resulting in high blood sugar levels that can cause damage to the kidneys. CKD often occurs together with or as a consequence of type 1 diabetes. The study treatment finerenone works by blocking certain proteins, called mineralocorticoid receptors. An increased stimulation of these proteins is thought to damage the kidneys and the heart. By lowering their stimulation, finerenone reduces the risk of kidney disease progressively getting worse. Finerenone is approved for doctors to prescribe to people with CKD and type 2 diabetes. In this study, researchers want to learn if finerenone works better than placebo in reducing the participants' kidney disease from getting worse when given in addition to standard of care (SOC) treatment. A placebo looks like a treatment but does not have any medicine in it. SOC is a procedure or treatment that medical experts consider most appropriate for a condition or disease. To find out how well finerenone works, the level of a protein (albumin) in the urine will be measured. Researchers also want to know how safe finerenone is. To do this, the researchers will collect the number of participants with: medical problems (also called treatment-emergent adverse events (TEAEs)) serious TEAEs. An TEAE is considered 'serious' when it leads to death, puts the participant's life at risk, requires hospitalization, causes disability, causes a baby being born with medical problems, or is medically important higher than normal blood levels of potassium (hyperkalaemia). Depending on the treatment group, the participants will either take finerenone or placebo, Importantly, the participants will also continue to take their regular SOC medicines. Finerenone works by blocking a group of proteins, called mineralocorticoid receptor. An increased stimulation of mineralocorticoid receptor is known to trigger injury and inflammation in the kidney and is therefore thought to play a role in CKD. Empagliflozin lowers blood sugar levels by increasing the excretion of glucose from the blood into the urine. In this study, the researchers want to learn how well the combination of finerenone and empagliflozin helps to slow down the worsening of the participants' kidney function compared to either treatment alone. For this, the level of protein in the urine will be measured. The investigators also want to know how safe the combination is compared to either treatment alone. Depending on the treatment group, the participants will either take the combination of finerenone and empagliflozin, or finerenone together with a placebo, or empagliflozin together with a placebo, once a day as tablets by mouth. A placebo looks like a treatment but does not have any medicine in it. Importantly, the participants will also continue to take their other current medicine for CKD and T2D. The participants will be in the study for up to 7.5 months and will take the study treatments for 6 months. During the study, participants will visit the study site 7 times.
