CompassHER2-pCR: Decreasing Chemotherapy for Breast Cancer Patients After Pre-surgery Chemo and Targeted Therapy
Recruiting
This trial studies how well paclitaxel, trastuzumab, and pertuzumab work in eliminating further chemotherapy after surgery in patients with HER2-positive stage II-IIIa breast cancer who have no cancer remaining at surgery (either in the breast or underarm lymph nodes) after pre-operative chemotherapy and HER2-targeted therapy. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or b... Read More

Measuring Surgical Recovery After Radical Cystectomy
Recruiting
The intent of this study is to establish a registry of post-surgical outcomes in patients undergoing radical cystectomy at MD Anderson Cancer Center and the collaborating institutions. The goals of this initiative are to obtain a detailed baseline of multiple patient-reported outcomes (PRO) and clinician-reported outcomes (CRO) as well as various presenting conditions associated with them, so that future quality improvement interventions can be evaluated accurately as to their relative contribut... A Study of Tucatinib vs. Placebo in Combination With Ado-trastuzumab Emtansine (T-DM1) for Patients With Advanced or Metastatic HER2+ Breast Cancer
Recruiting
This study is being done to see if tucatinib with ado-trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1) works better than T-DM1 alone to help patients who have a specific type of breast cancer called HER2 positive breast carcinoma. The breast cancer in this study is either metastatic (spread into other parts of the body) or cannot be removed completely with surgery. Patients in this study will be randomly assigned to get either tucatinib or placebo (a pill with no medicine). This is a blinded study, so neither pat... Read More

Efficacy and Safety Study of Tisotumab Vedotin for Patients With Solid Tumors
Recruiting
This trial will study tisotumab vedotin to find out whether it is an effective treatment for certain solid tumors and what side effects (unwanted effects) may occur. There are seven parts to this study. In Part A, the treatment will be given to participants every 3 weeks (3-week cycles). In Part B, participants will receive tisotumab vedotin on Days 1, 8, and 15 every 4-week cycle. In Part C, participants will receive tisotumab vedotin on Days 1 and 15 of every 4-week cycle. In Part D, partici... Read More

S1501 Carvedilol in Preventing Cardiac Toxicity in Patients With Metastatic HER-2-Positive Breast Cancer
Recruiting
This phase III trial studies how well carvedilol works in preventing cardiac toxicity in patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER)-2-positive breast cancer that has spread to other places in the body. A beta-blocker, such as carvedilol, is used to treat heart failure and high blood pressure, and it may prevent the heart from side effects of chemotherapy.

SPECT-CT Guided ELEctive Contralateral Neck Treatment for Patients With Lateralized Oropharyngeal Cancer
Recruiting
This study is being done to answer the following question: Is the chance of cancer spreading or returning the same if radiotherapy to the neck is guided, by using a special imaging study called lymph node mapping (lymphatic mapping) Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT-CT), compared to the usual treatment when radiotherapy is given to both sides of the neck?

First in Human Study of BAY2927088 in Participants Who Have Advanced Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) With Mutations in the Genes of Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) and/or Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2)
Recruiting
Researchers are looking for a better way to treat people who have advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), a group of lung cancers that have spread to nearby tissues or to other parts of the body. Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) are proteins that help cells to grow and divide. A damage (also called mutation) to the building plans (genes) for these proteins in cancer cells leads to a production of abnormal EGFR and/or HER2. These ab... Read More
