This clinical trial adapts and evaluates the effectiveness of a family history screening program (GA CORE) for increasing uptake of genetic screening for BRCA-associated cancers in women who have received care in rural public health clinics in Southwest Georgia. Brief and low-cost family history-based screening assessments to identify families at high risk for BRCA-associated cancers have been endorsed by national guidelines and public health organizations. Georgia is among the few states to have implemented statewide family history screening for BRCA-associated cancers. Despite its potential, current clinic-based approaches that identify at-risk women are not sustainable and show limited reach. Additionally, uptake of follow-up cancer screening is sub-optimal and solely focuses on women screened as high genetic risk. This trial will adapt the existing family history screening program and then evaluate it's effectiveness for increasing the number and diversity of women who receive a history assessment and subsequent access to risk-based services such as genetic counseling and testing. This phase II trial examines transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) in patients with stage I-III breast cancer with chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy. TENS is a procedure in which mild electric currents are applied to some areas of the skin to potentially improve neuropathy. The Nanosomal Docetaxel Lipid Suspension (NDLS) consists of uniformly sized micro particles of docetaxel suspended in a lipid based formulation. The advantage of such a Lipid Based formulation of Docetaxel is an improvement of the safety profile by eliminating excipients, polysorbate 80 and ethanol which are present in conventional Docetaxel formulations (Taxotere®). This randomized, open-label study is designed to assess the efficacy and safety of Nanosomal Docetaxel Lipid Suspension at the dose of 75 mg/m2 and at the dose of 100 mg/m2 compared to Taxotere® at the dose of 100 mg/m2 in triple-negative breast cancer patients with Locally Advanced or Metastatic Breast Cancer. Patients will continue the treatment in the absence of disease progression and unacceptable toxicity. Disease status and tumor response will be assessed using Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST 1.1) guidelines. 657 patients (219 patients per arm) will be randomized in the study. This clinical trial evaluates if in-person acupuncture or virtual acupressure therapy prevents aromatase inhibitor-associated joint pain in Non-Hispanic Black postmenopausal women with stage I-III (early-stage) hormone receptor positive (HR+) breast cancer. Aromatase inhibitors (AI) are medications that prevent the formation of the hormone estrogen. They are used in the treatment of postmenopausal women who have hormone-dependent breast cancer. AI therapy prolongs life among patients with early-stage HR+ breast cancer. Many postmenopausal women stop AI therapy early due to debilitating joint pain (arthralgias). Non-Hispanic Black women are more likely to experience side effects and stop their hormonal therapy compared to Non-Hispanic white women. Acupuncture therapy involves inserting thin needles through the skin at specific points on the body to control pain. Acupressure therapy uses the application of pressure or localized massage to specific sites on the body to control symptoms such as pain. Acupuncture and acupressure are types of complementary and alternative medicine. Undergoing in-person acupuncture or participating in virtual acupressure may prevent AI-associated arthralgias (AIAA) in Non-Hispanic Black postmenopausal women with early-stage HR+ breast cancer.
