A Master Protocol Study (LY900028) of Multiple Intervention-Specific-Appendices (ISAs) in Participants With Chronic Pain
Recruiting
The purpose of the chronic pain master protocol is to compare independent pain interventions and establish an overarching structure for the disease-state addenda (DSA) and intervention-specific appendices (ISAs). The ISAs may start independently of other ISAs as interventions become available for clinical testing.

Low Dose Naltrexone for Pain in Patients With HIV
Recruiting
The increased life expectancy of Patients Living With HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) has increased the need for therapies for chronic conditions, such as chronic pain. Pain in the HIV population is often refractory and ends up being treated with chronic opioids, which are associated with adverse effects, including hyperalgesia, constipation, and risk of overdose. Naltrexone is an opioid antagonist used in the treatment of alcohol and opioid use disorders. Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN), naltrexone at a much lower... Read More

Safety and Efficacy Study of VNX001 Compared to Its Individual Components (Lidocaine and Heparin) or Placebo in Subjects With IC/BPS
Recruiting
This is a Phase 2, prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-center, single-dose, pharmacodynamic study designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the combination product (VNX001) versus placebo and its individual components (heparin sodium and lidocaine hydrochloride (HCl)) for the reduction of bladder pain in patients with interstitial cystitis (IC) / bladder pain syndrome (BPS).

A Study Examining Changes in Pain After Manual Therapy in People With Achilles Tendon Pain
Recruiting
The purpose of this research is to find out how pain sensation may change in the Achilles tendon after the use of manual physical therapy. The testing itself will use a device that gradually produces a sensation of heat or cold on your skin, which we will place directly over your Achilles Tendon. You will let the researcher know when the heat or cold becomes what you would describe as "slight discomfort," at which point the pressure will be stopped. Testing will be completed three (3) times in a... Read More

A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo Controlled, Multicenter, Efficacy and Safety Trial of Single Cycle Tetrodotoxin in the Treatment of Chemotherapy Induced Neuropathic Pain
Recruiting
To be eligible for the trial, subjects must have ongoing moderate to severe neuropathic pain related to a prior course of platinum and/or taxane chemotherapy and have no clinical evidence of actively progressive disease. The trial period will comprise a Screening period (up to 35 Days), randomization and a 4-day treatment period, followed by a 12-week follow up period (12 weeks total after initial treatment), and an End-of-Trial/Follow-up visit which will occur at Week 13. This is a study to re... Read More

Low-Dose Radiotherapy in Treating Painful Bone Metastases in Patients With Multiple Myeloma
Recruiting
This phase II trial studies how well low-dose radiotherapy works in treating bone pain in patients with multiple myeloma that has spread to the bone. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays, gamma rays, neutrons, protons, or other sources to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Low-dose radiotherapy may be more convenient for patients and their families, may not interfere as much with the timing of chemotherapy, and may have less chance for short term or long-term side effects from the radiatio... Sequential and Comparative Evaluation of Pain Treatment Effectiveness Response
Recruiting
VETERANS ONLY. Chronic low back pain (cLBP) is common. Most Americans will have at least one episode of low back pain in their lifetimes. Approximately 50% of all US Veterans have chronic pain, and CLBP is the most common type of pain in this population. This study will use a sequential randomized, pragmatic, 2-step comparative effectiveness study design. The main goal is to identify the best approach for treating cLBP using commonly recommended non-surgical and non-pharmacological options. The... Read More

Freedom-1 Study for Chronic Knee Pain
Recruiting
To demonstrate the potential benefits and risk of active sub-threshold stimulation in the treatment of chronic knee pain as compared to subjects that did not have active stimulation. Improvement will be assessed in relation to the clinical outcome measures of pain, with primary endpoint; Pain relief rate as measured by the number of subjects with greater or equal to a 50% decrease in pain on the visual analog scale, comparing baseline to the 1-month follow-up.
