The state of Illinois currently has 126 active clinical trials seeking participants for Breast Cancer research studies. These trials are conducted in various cities, including Chicago, Peoria, Springfield and Urbana.
Empowering Latinas to Obtain Guideline Concordant Screenings
Recruiting
The design builds on past studies by integrating social network analysis (SNA) and implementation science (IS) into a longitudinal randomized clinical trial (RCT). The investigator will compare the long-term effects of interventions by examining guideline-concordant initial and repeat Brease Cancer (BC) screening.

Ribociclib vs. Palbociclib in Patients With Advanced Breast Cancer Within the HER2-Enriched Intrinsic Subtype
Recruiting
HARMONIA is an international, multicenter, randomized, open-label and phase III study. The primary objective of this study is to demonstrate that the combination of ribociclib with endocrine therapy (letrozole or fulvestrant) is superior to palbociclib with endocrine therapy (letrozole or fulvestrant) in prolonging progression-free survival in patients with advanced HR+/HER2- and HER2-E breast cancer. The study will enroll approximately 456 patients with HER2-E disease from approximately 95 site... Read More

CD40 Agonist, Flt3 Ligand, and Chemotherapy in Triple Negative Breast Cancer
Recruiting
This research study is being done to find out if the immunotherapy drugs called CDX-301 and CDX-1140 in combination with the standard chemotherapy treatment pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD, Doxil) are safe and effective at controlling the cancer in patients with metastatic triple negative breast cancer, and to determine a safe dose and treatment schedule of the three drugs. This research study will also test how these treatments improve your body's immune response against the cancer.

Intraoperative Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Breast Cancer Undergoing Breast-Conserving Surgery
Recruiting
This phase IV trial studies the side effects of intraoperative radiation therapy and how well it works in treating patients with breast cancer undergoing breast-conserving surgery. Delivering radiation one time to the area where the tumor was removed while the patient is still in the operating room may kill any residual tumor cells and may be as effective as standard radiation therapy in patients with early stage breast cancer.

A Phase 1/2 Trial of ARV-471 Alone and in Combination With Palbociclib (IBRANCEĀ®) in Patients With ER+/HER2- Locally Advanced or Metastatic Breast Cancer
Recruiting
This is a Phase 1/2 dose escalation and cohort expansion study and will assess the safety, tolerability and anti-tumor activity of ARV-471 alone and in combination with palbociclib (IBRANCEĀ®) in patients with estrogen receptor positive/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 negative (ER+/HER2-) locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer, who have received prior hormonal therapy and chemotherapy in the locally advanced/metastatic setting.

BRE-04: Window of Opportunity Trial of Preoperative Low Dose Azacitidine in High-Risk Early Stage Breast Cancer
Recruiting
To determine the effect of low dose azacitidine therapy on tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in primary tumors from patients with high-risk early stage breast cancer, paired t-tests will be first used to compare TIL count in pre- and post-treatment specimens.

Volumetric Specimen Imager Device for the Intraoperative Imaging of Patients With Breast Carcinoma and Breast Ductal Carcinoma In Situ, The VIVID Study
Recruiting
This clinical trial assesses if the use of a three-dimensional imaging device called the Clarix Imaging Volumetric Specimen Imager (VSI) can help guide and assist surgeons in identifying and removing all positive margins while in the operating room (intraoperative imaging) for patients with breast cancer and breast ductal carcinoma in situ. Breast conservation surgery or lumpectomy is a standard of care (routine) procedure that removes the tumor and a rim of surrounding normal tissue (margins) w... Read More
