The city of Indianapolis, Indiana, currently has 29 active clinical trials seeking participants for Breast Cancer research studies.
Hypofractionated vs. Conventional Regional Nodal Radiation Therapy for Patients With Invasive Breast Cancer
Recruiting
To compare how often cancer recurs (comes back) after 3 weeks of radiation compared to 5 weeks of radiation in patients who receive radiation therapy delivered to the lymph nodes near the breast. The side effects that can develop during or after radiation treatment, including how often arm swelling (edema) happens, will also be studied.

Circulating Tumor DNA Enriched, Genomically Directed Post-neoadjuvant Trial for Patients With Residual Triple Negative Breast Cancer
Recruiting
This is a 3-arm study stratified by plasma ctDNA. Patients with residual TNBC disease after pre-operative therapy will be assigned to 1 of 3 Arms based on plasma ctDNA positivity and genomic marker(s).

Effect of Low Intensity Vibration (LIV) on Aromatase Inhibitor- Induced Musculoskeletal Dysfunction in Early Stage Breast Cancer Survivors
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of low intensity vibration (LIV) delivered for 10 minutes twice daily for 12 months on skeletal muscle function, in terms of energetic capacity measured by power generation on a stationary bicycle, among patients with early stage breast cancer planned to initiate aromatase inhibitor therapy who do not currently participate in regular exercise, compared to a wait- listed control.

Intraoperative Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Breast Cancer Undergoing Breast-Conserving Surgery
Recruiting
This phase IV trial studies the side effects of intraoperative radiation therapy and how well it works in treating patients with breast cancer undergoing breast-conserving surgery. Delivering radiation one time to the area where the tumor was removed while the patient is still in the operating room may kill any residual tumor cells and may be as effective as standard radiation therapy in patients with early stage breast cancer.

Exercise in Metastatic Breast Cancer: EMBody
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to study exercise in a novel population with indolent MBC (no progression on current therapy in prior 12 months and not receiving cytotoxic chemotherapy). The study team hypothesizes that delivering virtual, supervised, progressive intensity aerobic and resistance training exercise for 16 weeks in this population will significantly improve 1) cardiorespiratory fitness, functional status, and sarcopenia (low muscle mass), all established predictors of survival, and 2)...
