Hypertension Paid Clinical Trials in Kentucky

The PHA Registry (PHAR) is a national study about people who have pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH). PHAR collects information from people with PAH and CTEPH who are cared for in participating PHA-accredited Pulmonary Hypertension Care Centers throughout the U.S. PHAR will determine how people with PAH and CTEPH are evaluated, tested, and treated, and will observe how well these participants do. The goal is to see if people with PH are treated according to recommended guidelines, and to see if there are certain factors that can lead to better or worse outcomes. PHAR will include information about people with PAH and CTEPH in the U.S. who are seen at participating PHA-accredited PH Care Centers. PHAR contains data about patient care and outcomes. Specifically, data in the PHAR includes information on diagnosis; clinical status; socioeconomic status; diagnosis test results; body size; treatment information; interest in participating in clinical trials; family health and social history; and information about smoking, alcohol, or drug use. Participants are followed over time, and provide updates such as changes in therapy, how often participants need to go to the hospital, and survival. This study is being conducted to assess the long-term safety, tolerability, and efficacy of sotatercept (MK-7962, formerly called ACE-011) in participants with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH). This open-label, long-term follow-up (LTFU) study is supported by data from the PULSAR study (Phase 2, NCT03496207) in which treatment with sotatercept resulted in hemodynamic and functional improvements in the study participants, including those receiving maximal PAH therapy with double/triple drug combinations and intravenous prostacyclin. The primary objective of this open-label, LTFU study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of sotatercept when added to background PAH therapy in adult participants with PAH who have completed prior sotatercept studies. The purpose of this study is to measure the efficacy and safety of baxdrostat/dapagliflozin in participants ≥ 18 years of age with CKD and HTN. This study consists of a screening, a 4-week dapagliflozin run-in period for participants naïve to SGLT2i at baseline; a 24-month double-blind period in which participants will receive either baxdrostat/dapagliflozin or dapagliflozin; and a 6-week open-label period in which all participants will discontinue baxdrostat/placebo and receive dapagliflozin alone. Site visits will take place at 2-, 4-, 8-, and 16- weeks following randomisation. Thereafter visits will occur approximately every 4 months, until the 24-month visit at which time baxdrostat/placebo will be discontinued. Participants will continue open-label dapagliflozin for another 6-weeks (approximately), where reassessment of GFR will occur for the primary efficacy endpoint. In the event of premature discontinuation of blinded study intervention, participants will continue in the study and receive open-label dapagliflozin monotherapy, unless the participant meets dapagliflozin specific discontinuation criteria, in which case all study interventions will be discontinued. The purpose of this 20-week randomized double-blind study in patients with resistant hypertension (rHTN) is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability, of different doses of XXB750 administered as subcutaneous (SC) injections, compared to placebo. Since all study participants will be patients with rHTN, all study treatments will be given on top of maximally tolerated background antihypertensive therapy recommended by international guidelines for treatment of HTN (i.e., a thiazide or a thiazide-like diuretic, an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEi) or an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), and a long-acting dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker (CCB).
