This clinical trial evaluates the use of self-collected vaginal samples for human papillomavirus (HPV) testing in patients referred for a colposcopy and/or cervical excisional procedures to improve cervical cancer prevention. HPV is a common virus which usually causes infections that last only a few months, but sometimes can last longer. HPV is known to cause a variety of cancers including cervical cancer. Even though there are ways to detect cervical cancer, many individuals are not diagnosed. Over half of all new cervical cancer cases are among those who have either never been screened or who are not screened enough. The low screening numbers show more testing needs to be done. Without appropriate screening and care, preventable precancer may turn into cancer. A new way to detect cervical cancer is to have individuals collect their own sample for HPV testing to know their risk for cervical cancer. This may give individuals more flexibility and comfort having the ability to collect samples themselves, compared to a doctor performing a speculum examination and collecting the samples in a clinic. Information gathered from this study compares clinical accuracy of HPV testing on self-collected vaginal samples versus cervical samples collected by clinician. The Self-collection for HPV Testing to Improve Cervical Cancer Prevention (SHIP) Trial is part of the National Cancer Institute (NCI)'s Cervical Cancer 'Last Mile' Initiative, a public private partnership that seeks to increase access to cervical cancer screening. The SHIP Trial focuses on developing clinical evidence to inform the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)'s regulatory reviews of self-collection approaches as alternative sample collection approaches for cervical cancer screening. Several industry partner-specific self-collection device and assay combinations will be non-competitively and independently evaluated with a similar study design framework to inform pre-approval and/or post-approval regulatory requirements. This trial studies how well iohexol works in helping doctors calculate the dose of carboplatin given to patients with cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Understanding how to best calculate the dose of carboplatin given to patients with cancer may help doctors learn how to improve the use of carboplatin in the future. Read Less

The Prehospital Airway Control Trial (PACT) is a proposed 5 year, open label, multi-center, stepped-wedge randomized trial comparing airway management strategies of prehospital trauma patients. The initial airway attempt will be randomized to either usual care (control) or a supraglottic airway management approach (intervention). The primary outcome will be 24 hour survival, with secondary outcomes to include survival to hospital discharge, expected clinical adverse events, airway management performance, ICU length of stay, ventilator days, incidence of ARDS, and incidence of ventilator associated pneumonia. This clinical trial evaluates how well two surgical procedures (bilateral salpingectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy) work in reducing the risk of ovarian cancer for individuals with BRCA1 mutations. Bilateral salpingectomy involves the surgical removal of fallopian tubes, and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy involves the surgical removal of both the fallopian tubes and ovaries. This study may help doctors determine if the two surgical procedures are nearly the same for ovarian cancer risk reduction for women with BRCA1 mutations. Read Less

This phase II trial tests how well tailoring therapy in post-surgery works in patients with low-risk endometrial cancer. The usual approach for patients with low-risk endometrial cancer is treatment with surgery. In this study, tissue that is removed as part of the surgical procedure is analyzed in the pathology laboratory to help guide the doctor to decide whether or not additional treatment such as radiation and or chemotherapy should be recommended. The goal of this randomized trial is to learn if the Unstained intervention has a positive impact on the sexual health behaviors of sexually active youth between the ages of 14 and 22 years old who are at risk for or involved in the legal system. The primary research questions it aims to answer are: * Three months after being offered the intervention, does Unstained impact youth's receipt of sexually transmitted infection testing in the past four months? * Nine months after being offered the intervention, does Unstained impact youth's frequency of having vaginal and anal sex without condoms in the past four months? Researchers will compare participants randomized to receive Unstained (treatment group) to participants randomized to receive a control condition that contains no sexual or reproductive health information (control group). Participants randomized to the treatment group will be offered Unstained as a virtual, individual-based intervention delivered during three \~60 minute sessions over a 3-6 week period. This phase III trial compares the effect of olaparib for one year versus two years, with or without bevacizumab, for the treatment of BRCA 1/2 mutated or homologous recombination deficient stage III or IV ovarian cancer. Olaparib is a polyadenosine 5'-diphosphoribose polymerase (PARP) enzyme inhibitor and may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Bevacizumab is in a class of medications called antiangiogenic agents. It works by stopping the formation of blood vessels that bring oxygen and nutrients to tumor. This may slow the growth and spread of tumor. Giving olaparib for one year with or without bevacizumab may be effective in treating patients with BRCA 1/2 mutated or homologous recombination deficient stage III or IV ovarian cancer, when compared to two years of olaparib. The Sponsor is developing KB707, a replication-defective, non-integrating herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1)-derived vector that is designed to stimulate an anti-tumor immune response through the production of cytokines delivered to the airways of people with advanced solid tumor malignancies affecting the lungs via nebulization. This Phase 1/2, open-label, multicenter, dose escalation and expansion study is designed to evaluate the safety and tolerability of KB707 in adults with with advanced solid tumor malignancies affecting the lungs who have progressed on standard of care therapy, cannot tolerate standard of care therapy, or refused standard of care therapy, as well as the safety, tolerability, preliminary efficacy, and immunologic effect of KB707 administered in combination with Keytruda, with or without chemotherapy, to subjects with advanced NSCLC. The study will include a dose escalation portion for single agent KB707 using a standard 3+3 design followed by a dose expansion portion to further evaluate single agent KB707 at a dose determined by preliminary data in the dose escalation phase. Subjects in the dose escalation (Cohorts 1 and 2) and dose expansion (Cohort 4) will receive KB707 via nebulization weekly for three weeks, then every three weeks. The dose escalation portion of the study has now closed, and the Cohort 2 dose was selected for evaluation in dose expansion. Dose expansion Cohorts 5 and 6 will evaluate subjects with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Subjects in Cohorts 5 and 6 will receive inhaled KB707 per treatment day once every 2 weeks (q2w), delivered in combination with Keytruda (once every 6 weeks). All subjects will be treated until tumor progression, death, unacceptable toxicity, symptomatic deterioration, achievement of maximal response, subject choice, Investigator decision to discontinue treatment, or the Sponsor determines to terminate the study.
