This study addresses PTSD symptoms in First Responders and Healthcare workers. Specifically, it tests whether a brief PTSD treatment (talk therapy) effectively treats PTSD when provided to First Responders and Healthcare workers by counselors in Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). The central hypothesis is that the PTSD treatment, Prolonged Exposure for Primary Care (PE-PC), will reduce PTSD symptoms and improve functioning, compared to EAP Treatment as Usual (TAU). Read Less

Multiple myeloma (MM) is a cancer of the blood's plasma cells. The cancer is typically found in the bones and bone marrow (the spongy tissue inside of the bones) and can cause bone pain, fractures, infections, weaker bones, and kidney failure. Treatments are available, but MM can come back (relapsed) or may not get better (refractory) with treatment. This is a study to determine the safety and pharmacokinetics of ABBV-383 in adult participants with relapsed/refractory (R/R) MM. ABBV-383 is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of R/R MM. This study is broken into 3 Arms: Arm A with 2 parts and Arm B as an expansion. Participants will receive ABBV-383 as a subcutaneous (SC) injection and intravenous (IV) infusion in Arm A and SC injections of ABBV-383 in Arm B. Around 55 adult participants with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma will be enrolled at approximately 25 sites across the world In Arm A participants will receive one of two doses of ABBV-383 as an SC injection and (IV) infusions, during the 151 week study duration. In Arm B, participants will receive the selected dose from Arm A as SC injections, during the 151 week study duration. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. ACEMg (Soundbites) is a neuroprotectant supplement designed to block the initiating biological events in the inner ear leading to inner ear hearing loss, sensorineural hearing loss, SNHL, which accounts for more than 90% of all hearing loss. SNHL is so common it is called hearing loss. There is no cure for SNHL. The 24-week OTIS Study aims to validate findings from the previous two-year real-world study demonstrating ACEMg (Soundbites) preserved or improved auditory function (hearing) for 75.3% of participants who used it daily, with most improvement occurring within six months. The study also aims to assess the potential of ACEMg to relieve tinnitus, hyperacusis, and hearing sensitivity symptoms. These symptoms are often correlated with SNHL; relief from tinnitus, hyperacusis and hearing sensitivity were were not measured in the previous two-year study. The OTIS study aims to answer two questions. First, does the real-world data demonstrate that hearing loss is stabilized or improved at the end of the test among participants with SNHL at the beginning? Second, do participants who self-report tinnitus, hyperacusis, or hearing sensitivity symptoms at the start of their test report reduced symptoms at the end? Participants must be eighteen years of age and older and self-report hearing loss and/or tinnitus. The study is conducted at home using a smartphone app and a web-based assessment and data reporting tool developed for this study. The study is conducted at home using an online hearing test and short surveys on tinnitus and hyperacusis. The tests are completed three times: Baseline tests are taken before participants begin to take ACEMg softgel capsules daily. The Test is repeated at about 11 and 24 weeks. This observational trial studies whether respiratory viruses are the cause of lung disease (bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome \[BOS\] or graft-versus-host disease of the lung) and changes in lung function in patients who have received a donor stem cell transplant. Patients with chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD) are at higher risk of developing BOS. Studies have also shown that patients who had a respiratory viral illness early after their transplant are at higher risk of developing lung problems later on. Patients who are at risk and who already have BOS might benefit from being monitored more closely. Spirometry is a way of assessing a patient's lung function and is often used to diagnose lung disease. Spirometry measured at home with a simple handheld device may reduce the burden of performing pulmonary function testing at a facility and potentially help patients get their lung disease diagnosed and treated sooner. The purpose of this trial is to test new programs to see if they might help people manage their health and health behaviors related to alcohol use and well-being. The program sessions focus on getting to know what's important to the participants, reviewing or setting goals, and using different skills and behaviors to better manage health. The trial will help the study team learn about ways to deliver health information in a way that is useful and interesting. This research will take place remotely (e.g., Zoom, Facetime, Phone) and participants will be randomized to the Telehealth (TeleTx) group intervention or the Enhanced Usual Care (EUC) control group. Participants will be randomized into one of two different experimental groups: 1) Exercise group and 2) No exercise (control group). Subject participation in the study will involve a series of metabolic tests before and after participants undergo a 10% weight loss program (with or without exercise training depending on group randomization). After completing this weight loss portion of the study, participants will then be required to adhere to a high calorie diet program to regain half of the weight the participant lost - followed by the same series of metabolic tests. The heightened vulnerability to COVID-19 of African American older adults in Detroit, Michigan and other marginalized communities is linked to systemic racism experienced over the life course. Structural inequities also magnify the pandemic's impact on older adults' physical and psychosocial functioning. Many older adults in Detroit, burdened by poor health even before the pandemic, face a downward spiral of increased distress, reduced physical and social activity, and physical deconditioning. RESET (Re-Engaging in Self-care, Enjoying Today) is a self-management and resilience-building intervention led by community health workers (CHWs) at the Detroit Health Department (DHD). The central hypothesis of this study is that RESET, with components that include group telephone calls, a podcast series, and activity trackers, will improve psychosocial and physical functioning at 2 and 8 months. Specific aims are: 1) With input from a Community Advisory Board, modify RESET for group delivery and refine content after testing in a mini-pilot (n=10). 2) Conduct a randomized, controlled trial to assess the impact of RESET (compared to a one-time /telephone wellness check) on PROMIS-29 Psychosocial Score (a weighted combination of distress, fatigue, pain, social participation and sleep) among 456 primarily African American older adults age 50 and over who are at elevated risk of poor functioning. 3) Collect qualitative (interview) data from participants and other stakeholders, and use this data to better understand trial results, as well as to assess community impact and inform a dissemination toolkit.
