Breast Cancer Paid Clinical Trials in Missouri

This trial studies how well paclitaxel, trastuzumab, and pertuzumab work in eliminating further chemotherapy after surgery in patients with HER2-positive stage II-IIIa breast cancer who have no cancer remaining at surgery (either in the breast or underarm lymph nodes) after pre-operative chemotherapy and HER2-targeted therapy. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Trastuzumab and pertuzumab are both a form of "targeted therapy" because they work by attaching themselves to specific molecules (receptors) on the surface of tumor cells, known as HER2 receptors. When these drugs attach to HER2 receptors, the signals that tell the cells to grow are blocked and the tumor cell may be marked for destruction by the body's immune system. Giving paclitaxel, trastuzumab, and pertuzumab may enable fewer chemotherapy drugs to be given without compromising patient outcomes compared to the usual treatment. Read Less

The purpose of this study is to learn about the safety and effects of the study medicine called vepdegestrant. The safety and effects of vepdegestrant will be see when given with other medicines. Vepdegestrant is studied to see if it can be a possible treatment for advanced metastatic breast cancer. This type of cancer would have spread from where it started (breast) to other parts of the body and would be tough to treat. The study is seeking for participants who have breast cancer that: is hard to treat (advanced) and may have spread to other organs (metastatic). is sensitive to hormonal therapy (it is called estrogen receptor positive). is no longer responding to treatments taken before starting this study. This study is divided into separate sub-studies. For Sub-Study C: All the participants will receive vepdegestrant and a medicine called samuraciclib. Vepdegestrant and samuraciclib will be taken once in a day by mouth. The medicines will be taken at home. The experience of people receiving the study medicines will be studied. This will help see if the study medicine is safe and effective. Participant will continue to take vepdegestrant and samuraciclib until: their cancer is no longer responding, or side effects become too severe. They will have visits at the study clinic about every 4 weeks. Read Less

This phase III trial studies how well carvedilol works in preventing cardiac toxicity in patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER)-2-positive breast cancer that has spread to other places in the body. A beta-blocker, such as carvedilol, is used to treat heart failure and high blood pressure, and it may prevent the heart from side effects of chemotherapy. Read Less

The phase III trial compares the effect of pembrolizumab to observation for the treatment of patients with early-stage triple-negative breast cancer who achieved a pathologic complete response after preoperative chemotherapy in combination with pembrolizumab. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. This trial may help researchers determine if observation will result in the same risk of cancer coming back as pembrolizumab after surgery in triple-negative breast cancer patients who achieve pathologic complete response after preoperative chemotherapy with pembrolizumab. This phase II trial studies how well nab-paclitaxel, durvalumab, and tremelimumab with or without personalized synthetic long peptide vaccine (neoantigen vaccine) works in treating patients with triple negative breast cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). Chemotherapy drugs, such as nab-paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as durvalumab and tremelimumab, may induce changes in body's immune system and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Vaccines made from peptides may help the body build an effective immune response to kill tumor cells. It is not yet known whether giving nab-paclitaxel, durvalumab, and tremelimumab with or without neoantigen vaccine will work better in treating patients with triple negative breast cancer. Read Less

This trial studies the efficacy and safety of cryoablation in patients with low risk, early stage breast cancer. Cryoablation is a method of killing a tumor by freezing it. The standard approach for patients with this kind of cancer is a lumpectomy. This study will review the safety of the cryoablation procedure initially, followed by comparing cryoablation to lumpectomy in order to see if the cryoablation results in better disease control, complication rates, and quality of life. This randomized research trial studies how well serum tumor marker directed disease monitoring works in monitoring patients with hormone receptor positive Her2 negative breast cancer that has spread to other places in the body. The iCaRe2 advances comprehensive studies of risk factors of cancer development and progression and enables the design of novel strategies for prevention, screening, early detection and personalized treatment of cancer. This is a subject registry study of patients who undergo cryoablation for their breast cancer after being determined not to be surgical candidates. Data collected as part of this registry will be used to assess the safety of percutaneous ultrasound-guided cryoablation in this population as well as provide long-term follow-up of subjects who received cryoablation.
