The purpose of this study is to get images (pictures) of oral lesions, which occur inside the mouth, before the patient's surgery using a special camera. These pictures will be used in our research to evaluate a new technology that uses a laser and takes pictures of the microscopic structure of tissue. The technology is called "reflectance confocal microscopy." We would like to compare what the camera sees to biopsies (pathology) of the same area. We will evaluate the pictures obtained from the patient to determine whether this technology may be useful in the future. We hope this technology can be used as a tool for early diagnosis of oral cancers and for guiding surgery. Read Less

Lung cancer continues to be the leading cause of cancer death in the United States. There are several important disparities in lung cancer mortality: racial and ethnic minorities, those with serious mental illness and those with lower socioeconomic status experience higher lung cancer mortality compared to the general population. Lung cancer screening (LCS) with annual low dose chest CT can reduce lung cancer mortality by 20% for high-risk patients, but has been generally underutilized with uptake of 5-15% by eligible patients across the United States. Half of all patients eligible for LCS remain current smokers, and the additional benefits of tobacco cessation services can increase the benefits of LCS clinical encounters in these patients. Despite the proven benefit of LCS and tobacco cessation, it remains out of reach for many with barriers across the patient, provider, and health-care system levels with resultant disparities in uptake of LCS and effective tobacco cessation that may exaggerate disparities in clinical lung cancer early detection and mortality. The majority of LCS care occurs across several visits in an outpatient clinical setting, which may make it inaccessible to the most vulnerable patients. Our central objective is to extend the reach of lung cancer and tobacco screening through the implementation and evaluation of a program extending these services inpatient in a public hospital that serves a known high-risk and diverse population in East Harlem. Preliminary data obtained from a retrospective quality improvement project examined data from patients admitted over a 3 month period in early 2022. Of 1374 unique patients were admitted to our hospital, 112 patients met LCS eligibility criteria and over 80% had no evidence of having been screened. Forty-seven percent identified as Black and 33.9% as Hispanic, groups known to have worse lung cancer outcomes. While smoking data was incomplete on a majority of patients, 75% of all inpatient admissions were noted to be currently smoking. This, our preliminary data suggest that an inpatient program to provide smoking cessation and LCS in a safety-net hospital may be an effective tool to increase the reach of LCS in a known high-risk demographic and address disparities in LCS and tobacco cessation services. The purpose of this study is to determine if combination treatment with cemiplimab, motixafortide, gemcitabine, and nab-paclitaxel is effective in decreasing the size of the tumor(s), if it will prolong life in patients, and if it's safe. The treatment consists of standard chemotherapy (gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel) which is FDA approved and is standard treatment for patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Participants will receive immunotherapy (cemiplimab) which activates the body's immune system to attack cancer cells. Cemiplimab is FDA approved for treatment of skin cancer but not for pancreas cancer. Participants will also receive Motixafortide, a new medication which has shown in the laboratory to help immunotherapy work better. Motixafortide has been tested together with immunotherapy (Pembrolizumab), and chemotherapy (5-Fluorouracil and liposomal Irinotecan) and was deemed safe to test additional patients. Motixafortide has not been tested with the specific immunotherapy (Cemiplimab) and chemotherapy (gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel) which participants will receive and is being tested in this clinical trial. The goal of this study is to understand and improve the breast surgical decision-making process for young women newly diagnosed with breast cancer. As part of this study, the investigators will evaluate the impact and use a web-based tool called CONSYDER that is designed to provide useful information to young breast cancer patients. It is also meant to improve communication between young women and their surgeons with the purpose of helping patients make appropriate surgical decisions. Participants will complete surveys approximately within 1 week of the surgical consult and approximately 6 months after surgery. Patients who receive neoadjuvant chemotherapy will also be surveyed after the completion of neoadjuvant treatment but prior to surgery. Some patients will be invited for an interview after their surgery as part of the evaluation. A subset of patients/surgeons will also have their surgical consultation audio-recorded. Read Less

This study is researching an investigational drug called REGN4336. Some participants may receive additional investigational drugs in combination with REGN4336. These additional drugs include REGN5678, cemiplimab and sarilumab. The main purpose of this study is to determine the safety, tolerability (how the body reacts to the drug) and effectiveness of REGN4336 alone, in combination with cemiplimab, or in combination with REGN5678. REGN4336, cemiplimab and REGN5678 are a type of treatment for cancer called immunotherapy,and are intended to activate T-cells to attack cancer cells. This study has 2 parts. The purpose of Part 1 is to determine a safe dose of REGN4336 when given alone or when given in combination with cemiplimab or REGN5678. The purpose of Part 2 is to use the REGN4336 dose(s) determined in Part 1 to further test how well REGN4336 works to shrink tumors either when given alone or in combination with cemiplimab or REGN5678. Cancer is a condition where cells in a specific part of body grow and reproduce uncontrollably. The purpose of this study is to assess adverse events and change in disease activity when ABBV-400 is given to adult participants to treat advanced solid tumors. ABBV-400 is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. Study doctors put the participants in groups called cohorts. Each cohort receives ABBV-400 alone (monotherapy) followed by a safety follow-up period. Approximately 260 adult participants with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), biliary tract cancers (BTC), esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), hormone receptor+/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 negative (HER2-) breast cancer (hormone receptor-positive \[HR+\]/HER2-breast cancer \[BC\]), head and neck squamous-cell-carcinoma (HNSCC), Platinum Resistant High Grade Epithelial Ovarian Cancer (PROC)/primary peritoneal/fallopian tube cancer, or advanced solid tumors, will be enrolled in the study in approximately 54 sites worldwide. In the each cohorts, participants with the following advanced solid tumor indications: HCC, PDAC, BTC, ESCC, TNBC, HR+/HER2-BC, HNSCC, and PROC/primary peritoneal/fallopian tube cancer will receive intravenous (IV) ABBV-400 monotherapy for up to 2 years during and up to the treatment period with an additional safety follow-up period of up to 2 years. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at an approved institution (hospital or clinic). The effect of the treatment will be frequently checked by medical assessments, blood tests, questionnaires and side effects. Read Less
