Biomarkers and Clinical Features of Metastatic Breast Cancer in Patients Treated With CDK4/6 Inhibitors
Recruiting
This study investigates the clinical course of CDK4/6 inhibitor treated patients in the real-world setting among patients with breast cancer. CDK4/6 inhibitors may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Studying samples of blood, tissue, ascites or pleural effusions, and fresh body fluids or fresh biopsy, from patients with breast cancer that has spread to the other places in the body (metastatic) may help doctors learn more about cancer and the de... Letrozole With or Without Paclitaxel and Carboplatin in Treating Patients With Stage II-IV Ovarian, Fallopian Tube, or Primary Peritoneal Cancer
Recruiting
This phase III trial studies how well letrozole with or without paclitaxel and carboplatin works in treating patients with stage II-IV low-grade serous carcinoma of the ovary, fallopian tube, or peritoneum. Letrozole is an enzyme inhibitor that lowers the amount of estrogen made by the body which in turn may stop the growth of tumor cells that need estrogen to grow. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by... Read More

Pancreatic Cancer Genetics
Recruiting
The aim of this study is to determine the frequency of the three most common BReast CAncer gene 1 (BRCA1) and BReast CAncer gene 2 (BRCA2) genetic mutations that are commonly found in Ashkenazi Jewish patients with pancreatic cancer. Testing for BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations in relatives of hereditary pancreatic cancer patients may have a significant impact; allowing for early screening, treatment, and resection of pre-malignant tissue or malignant lesions.
