Ulcerative Colitis Paid Clinical Trials in Pennsylvania

ALTB-268-201 is a Phase 2a, multicenter, single arm, multiple-dose, open-label study evaluating the efficacy and safety of ALTB-268 in subjects with moderately to severely active UC. The study consists of a Screening Phase, an Induction Phase, and a Maintenance Phase. Eligible subjects will be enrolled to receive a SC loading dose of ALTB-268 followed by weekly doses of ALTB-268 for 12 weeks. Primary efficacy endpoint will be evaluated at week 12. Week 12 dosing will occur during the 40 wks Maintenance Phase. During 40 weeklong maintenance phase SC doses of ALTB-268 will be administered every other week. Patients seen at the Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease will be asked to provide their written informed consent (authorization) to allow their identifiable medical record information related to their Inflammatory Bowel Disease to be placed in Center's Research Registry for the purpose of facilitating retrospective research studies directed at Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and the identification and recruitment of potential, eligible subjects for participation in future research studies involving Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Information obtained from the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Registry will allow a better classification of disease and factors that influence the natural course of disease; which may lead to a better understanding of the pathogenesis of IBD and may permit the development of better therapies and the potential for preventive therapies. The most clinically meaningful way to discover new targets of T cells in autoimmune diseases is to study the tissues of patients with active autoimmune disease mediated organ inflammation. These tissues contain both cytotoxic and helper T cells that are driving their disease, and these T cells are being guided by TCRs that recognize tissue-specific targets. By collecting tissue when a patient has active inflammation, it is possible to determine which T cells are activated and undergoing clonal expansion in the patient's diseased organ. TScan has developed a genome-wide, high-throughput technology to determine the natural, physiological target of any TCR (Kula, 2019). The goal of this study is to isolate T cells from inflamed tissues and matched blood samples and/or matched normal tissues (for patients with inflammatory bowel diseases). T cell clones that are expanded in diseased tissues relative to blood or normal tissues will be selected and the targets of their TCRs will be defined using TScan's genome-wide, high-throughput target ID technology. This is a multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of ABX464 50mg and 25mg administered once daily (QD) as maintenance therapy in subjects with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis who have inadequate response, no response, a loss of response, or an intolerance to either conventional therapies \[corticosteroids, immunosuppressant (i.e. azathioprine, 6-mercaptopurine, methotrexate)\] and/or advanced therapies \[biologics (TNF inhibitors, anti-integrins, anti-IL-23), and/or S1P receptor modulators, and/or JAK inhibitors\].
