The purpose of this trial is to evaluate 2-year disease-free survival in this patient population treated with single agent cisplatin and patients treated with cisplatin in combination with Rucaparib following preoperative chemotherapy. Side effects and tolerability of this treatment in patients with residual disease following preoperative chemotherapy will also be observed and characterized.

Evaluating Patients With Varying Degrees of Renal Function

This is a Phase I, open-label study evaluating the PK of S-1 components and their metabolites in patients with advanced solid tumors and varying degrees of renal function. Patients will be stratified by baseline 24-hour creatinine clearance(CrCL) into 4 cohorts using the normal clearance formula: Group A: Control Group B:Mild renal dysfunction Group C:Moderate renal function and Group D: Severe renal dysfunction. Six patients will be enrolled into each cohort.

The research study is testing the investigational drug necitumumab (IMC-11F8) in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer. The aim of this study is to determine if necitumumab, given together with a standard chemotherapy combination consisting of cisplatin and gemcitabine will be more effective in improving participant disease than the standard chemotherapy combination alone.
