Part 1 considered escalating doublet (NKTR 214 + nivolumab) doses to determine the RP2D. Part 2 considered dose expansion cohorts for the doublet (NKTR 214 + nivolumab ± chemotherapy). Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays and other types of radiation to kill tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. The majority of women diagnosed with ovarian, fallopian tube and primary peritoneal cancer present with advanced stage III and IV disease. Despite aggressive surgery and systemic chemotherapy, the majority of patients will relapse. Five year survival remains only 20-35% for patients diagnosed with bulky stage IIIC and IV cancers. Patients who are not candidates for an initial cytoreductive surgery at the time of diagnosis form a particularly poor prognosis group. These patients are treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) and will ultimately undergo cytoreductive surgery provided there is a response to chemotherapy. New therapies for this cohort of women are urgently needed. The investigators have designed a pilot study to evaluate the feasibility of heated intraoperative peritoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) given at the time of interval cytoreductive surgery after 3 cycles of NACT. Patients undergoing NACT for ovarian, fallopian tube or primary peritoneal cancer will be evaluated after their third cycle of chemotherapy for trial participation. Patient meeting eligibility criteria will proceed with cytoreductive surgery. HIPEC will be administered in those patients in whom optimal tumor cytoreduction is achieved. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin and fluorouracil, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. This was an open-label, nonrandomized, Phase 1/2 study designed to determine the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of epacadostat when given in combination with pembrolizumab and 7 different chemotherapy regimens described as Treatment Groups A through G below (see Study Drug and Background Therapies, Dose, and Mode of Administration). Phase 1 consisted of a 3 + 3 + 3 design intended to determine the MTD or PAD of epacadostat when given in combination with pembrolizumab and chemotherapy; efficacy was also explored. Phase 2 was designed to enroll efficacy expansion cohorts to further evaluate the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of epacadostat at the MTD or PAD (as selected in Phase 1) when given in combination with pembrolizumab and chemotherapy. Each efficacy expansion cohort was to enroll participants with 1 specific type of advanced or metastatic solid tumor. Additional cohorts (ie, the mandatory biopsy cohorts) were designed to evaluate changes in the tumor microenvironment in participants with any advanced or metastatic solid tumor who had progressed on previous therapy with a PD-1 or a PD-L1 inhibitor. No participants were enrolled in any Phase 2 efficacy expansion cohort, or in any Phase 2 mandatory biopsy cohort receiving Treatment A, B, F, or G. The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of pembrolizumab plus standard of care (SOC) chemotherapy (etoposide/platinum \[EP\]) in participants with newly diagnosed extensive stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) who have not previously received systemic therapy for this malignancy. The primary study hypotheses are that pembrolizumab+EP prolongs Progression-free Survival (PFS) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) version 1.1 by blinded independent central review (BICR) and Overall Survival (OS) compared with placebo+EP in adult participants with ES-SCLC. In this study, RECIST 1.1 has been modified to follow a maximum of 10 target lesions and a maximum of 5 target lesions per organ. With protocol Amendment 07 (03-Oct-2018), the outcome measure of "Change from Baseline at Weeks 12 and 24 in European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Quality of Life Questionnaire Core 30 (QLQ-C30) Global Health Status/Quality of Life Scale" was replaced with a single time point analysis at Week 18.
