Veliparib, Cyclophosphamide, and Doxorubicin Hydrochloride in Treating Patients With Metastatic or Unresectable Solid Tumors or Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma
Active Not Recruiting
This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of veliparib, cyclophosphamide, and doxorubicin hydrochloride when given together in treating patients solid tumors or non-Hodgkin lymphoma that has spread to other areas of the body or cannot be removed by surgery. Veliparib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cyclophosphamide and doxorubicin hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growt... Read More

Chemotherapy and Stem Cell Transplantation in Treating Patients With Stage IIIB Breast Cancer
Active Not Recruiting
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining chemotherapy with peripheral stem cell transplantation may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more tumor cells.
PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well chemotherapy and stem cell transplantation work in treating patients with stage IIIB breast cancer.

Total Marrow and Lymphoid Irradiation Before Donor Transplant and Cyclophosphamide in Treating Patients With Acute Myeloid Leukemia
Recruiting
This pilot phase I trial studies the side effects of total bone marrow and lymphoid irradiation and how well it works with cyclophosphamide in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia. Total marrow and lymphoid irradiation targets cancer in bone marrow and blood, instead of applying radiation to the whole body. Giving total bone marrow and lymphoid irradiation before a donor transplant helps stop the growth of cells in the bone marrow, including normal blood-forming cells (stem cells) and c... Read More
