A Study of Ponatinib Versus Imatinib in Adults With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Active Not Recruiting
In this study, adults with newly-diagnosed Philadelphia Chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL) will receive first-line therapy of ponatinib or imatinib. The main aim of this study is to compare the number of participants on each treatment that show no signs of disease. Participants will take tablets of either ponatinib or imatinib at the same time each day combined with reduced-intensity chemotherapy for up to 20 months. Then, they will continue with single-agent therapy (p... Read More

Tretinoin and Arsenic Trioxide in Treating Patients With Untreated Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia
Active Not Recruiting
This phase III trial studies tretinoin and arsenic trioxide in treating patients with newly diagnosed acute promyelocytic leukemia. Standard treatment for acute promyelocytic leukemia involves high doses of a common class of chemotherapy drugs called anthracyclines, which are known to cause long-term side effects, especially to the heart. Tretinoin may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Arsenic trioxide may stop the growth of cancer cells by e... Read More

Efficacy of Opioid-limiting Pain Management Protocol in Men Undergoing Urethroplasty
Completed
The investigator's study aims to see if an enhanced recovery regimen of pain medications before and during surgery will decrease the use and risk of opioid pain medications as well as improve pain control in anterior urethroplasty patients. Participants will be randomized to one of two pain regimens (enhanced recovery regimen vs standard regimen).

Lenalidomide, and Dexamethasone With or Without Daratumumab in Treating Patients With High-Risk Smoldering Myeloma
Recruiting
This phase III trial studies how well lenalidomide and dexamethasone works with or without daratumumab in treating patients with high-risk smoldering myeloma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as lenalidomide and dexamethasone, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as daratumumab, may induce changes in the body's immune system and may... Read More

Brentuximab Vedotin or Crizotinib and Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Newly Diagnosed Stage II-IV Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma
Completed
This partially randomized phase II trial studies how well brentuximab vedotin or crizotinib and combination chemotherapy works in treating patients with newly diagnosed stage II-IV anaplastic large cell lymphoma. Brentuximab vedotin is a monoclonal antibody, called brentuximab, linked to a toxic agent called vedotin. Brentuximab attaches to CD30 positive cancer cells in targeted way and delivers vedotin to kill them. Crizotinib and methotrexate may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking som... Read More

I-SPY COVID-19 TRIAL: An Adaptive Platform Trial for Critically Ill Patients
Recruiting
The goal of this project is to rapidly screen promising agents, in the setting of an adaptive platform trial, for treatment of critically ill COVID-19 patients. In this phase 2 platform design, agents will be identified with a signal suggesting a big impact on reducing mortality and the need for, as well as duration, of mechanical ventilation.

Completed
This randomized phase III trial is studying low-dose vincristine to see how well it works compared with high-dose vincristine when given together with different combination chemotherapy regimens in treating young patients with intermediate-risk relapsed B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing.
