RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known which regimen of combination chemotherapy is most effective for lymphoblastic lymphoma.
PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying different regimens of combination chemotherapy to compare how well they work in treating children or adolescents with newly diagnosed stage III or stage IV lymphoblastic lymphoma.

RATIONALE: Biological therapies, such as CC-4047, may stimulate the immune system in different ways and stop cancer cells from growing. Dexamethasone and CC-4047 may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking blood flow to the cancer. Giving CC-4047 together with dexamethasone may kill more cancer cells.

To assess the safety and effectiveness of adventitial deposition of the Study Drug in reducing inflammation and restenosis in patients with clinical evidence of claudication or critical limb ischemia and an angiographically significant lesion in the superficial femoral and/or popliteal arteries.
