Dexamethasone Treatment Options in Dallas, TX

This is a randomized, multicenter, Phase 3, open-label study evaluating subcutaneous (SC) vs intravenous (IV) administration of isatuximab in combination with pomalidomide and dexamethasone (Pd) in RRMM patients (study participants) who have received at least 1 prior line of therapy including lenalidomide and a proteasome inhibitor (PI). Eligible participants will be randomized 1:1 into 1 of 2 study arms: Arm SC: Isatuximab SC + Pd Arm IV: Isatuximab IV + Pd Participants will be allowed to continue therapy until disease progression, unacceptable adverse events (AEs), participant request to discontinue therapy or any other reason, whichever comes first. This phase III trial studies tretinoin and arsenic trioxide in treating patients with newly diagnosed acute promyelocytic leukemia. Standard treatment for acute promyelocytic leukemia involves high doses of a common class of chemotherapy drugs called anthracyclines, which are known to cause long-term side effects, especially to the heart. Tretinoin may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Arsenic trioxide may stop the growth of cancer cells by either killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Completely removing or reducing the amount of anthracycline chemotherapy and giving tretinoin together with arsenic trioxide may be an effective treatment for acute promyelocytic leukemia and may reduce some of the long-term side effects. This phase 2 trial will test whether the combination of DaraRd (daratumumab + lenalidomide + dexamethasone) as induction therapy, followed by DRVd (daratumumab + lenalidomide + bortezomib + dexamethasone) consolidation therapy, if needed, will result in more patients achieving minimal residual disease (MRD)-negative status, relative to the standard of care. Consolidation therapy will be administered only to those patients with MRD-positive status after induction therapy. This is a study based on adaptive design for decision making of treatment options. This Phase 3, 2-arm, randomized, active comparator-controlled, open-label, multicenter study will compare the efficacy and health-related quality of life (HR-QoL) and assess the safety of selinexor plus bortezomib (Velcade) plus low-dose dexamethasone (SVd) versus bortezomib plus low-dose dexamethasone (Vd) in adult patients with RRMM who have received 1 to 3 prior anti-multiple myeloma (MM) regimens. Crossover from the Vd Arm to a treatment that includes selinexor (i.e., SVdX or SdX) will be allowed at the point of IRC-confirmed objective disease progression per the IMWG criteria for patients in the Vd Arm. This phase III trial studies combination chemotherapy with or without lestaurtinib with to see how well they work in treating younger patients with newly diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of stop cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Lestaurtinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. This partially randomized phase II trial studies how well brentuximab vedotin or crizotinib and combination chemotherapy works in treating patients with newly diagnosed stage II-IV anaplastic large cell lymphoma. Brentuximab vedotin is a monoclonal antibody, called brentuximab, linked to a toxic agent called vedotin. Brentuximab attaches to CD30 positive cancer cells in targeted way and delivers vedotin to kill them. Crizotinib and methotrexate may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether brentuximab vedotin and combination chemotherapy is more effective than crizotinib and combination chemotherapy in treating anaplastic large cell lymphoma. Read Less
