This is an open-label Phase 2 Pilot study to evaluate Disulfiram + Copper Gluconate in patients metastatic pancreatic cancer whose CA-19-9 levels rise while receiving nab-paclitaxel (Abraxane) plus gemcitabine (Gemzar) or FOLFIRINOX or single-agent gemcitabine (Gemzar). Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Monoclonal antibodies, such as trastuzumab, may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or deliver cancer-killing substances to them. It is not yet known whether paclitaxel works better with or without bevacizumab in treating breast cancer.
