Paclitaxel Treatment Options in Florida

This randomized phase III trial studies carboplatin and paclitaxel to compare how well they work with or without bevacizumab and/or cetuximab in treating patients with stage IV or non-small cell lung cancer that has returned after a period of improvement (recurrent). Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Bevacizumab may prevent the growth of new blood vessels that tumor needs to grow. Cetuximab may also stop cancer cells from growing by binding and interfering with a protein on the surface of the tumor cell that is needed for tumor growth. It is not yet known whether giving carboplatin and paclitaxel are more effective with or without bevacizumab and/or cetuximab in treating patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Read Less

This purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and to find the optimal dose in participants with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) positive breast cancer who are given the combination of Interferon-gamma with paclitaxel, trastuzumab and pertuzumab. This study will also look at other effects of Interferon-gamma with paclitaxel, trastuzumab and pertuzumab, including its effect on this type of cancer. Interferon-gamma is a biologically manufactured protein that is similar to a protein the body makes naturally. This three-cohort, multi-stage, randomized, Phase II, multicenter trial will evaluate the safety and tolerability and estimate the efficacy of cobimetinib plus paclitaxel versus placebo plus paclitaxel in Cohort I, of cobimetinib plus atezolizumab plus paclitaxel in Cohort II, and of cobimetinib plus atezolizumab plus nab-paclitaxel in Cohort III in participants with metastatic or locally advanced, triple-negative adenocarcinoma of the breast who have not received prior systemic therapy for metastatic breast cancer (MBC).
