This is a research study for people who have a solid tumor that was not effectively treated by conventional therapy or for which there is no known effective therapy. This is a phase I study of a drug called nab-paclitaxel used together with gemcitabine. Gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel will be given intravenously, once a week for 3 out of 4 weeks, for a 28-day cycle. The goals of this study are: * To find the highest dose of nab-paclitaxel that can be safely given in combination with gemcitabine without causing severe side effects * To learn what kind of side effects nab-paclitaxel given in combination with gemcitabine can cause * To learn more about the pharmacology (how the body handles the drug) of nab-paclitaxel given in combination with gemcitabine * To evaluate tumor tissue for levels of certain proteins that may help with predicting who will benefit most from treatment with nab-paclitaxel * To determine whether nab-paclitaxel given in combination with gemcitabine is a beneficial treatment for relapsed and/or refractory solid tumors Read Less

This randomized phase III trial studies how well paclitaxel, trastuzumab, and pertuzumab with or without atezolizumab works in treating patients with breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic). Chemotherapy drugs, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Trastuzumab is a form of "targeted therapy" because it works by attaching itself to specific molecules (receptors) on the surface of cancer cells, known as HER2 receptors. When trastuzumab attaches to HER2 receptors, the signals that tell the cells to grow are blocked and the cancer cell may be marked for destruction by the body's immune system. Monoclonal antibodies, such as pertuzumab, may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as atezolizumab, may induce changes in body's immune system and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. It is not yet known whether giving paclitaxel, trastuzumab, and pertuzumab with or without atezolizumab may kill more tumor cells. \*NOTE: This study has a central confirmation step. The purpose of this step is to confirm by central testing that the patient's tumor has specific receptors. This phase II trial tests how well gemcitabine, cisplatin and nab-paclitaxel given before surgery (neoadjuvant) works in treating patients with pancreatic cancer that can be removed by surgery (resectable) or that is borderline resectable. The standard treatment for resectable and borderline resectable pancreatic cancer is a combination of surgery and chemotherapy. Neoadjuvant therapy has been shown to improve overall survival compared to patients receiving surgery first. Gemcitabine is a chemotherapy drug that blocks the cells from making DNA and may kill tumor cells. Cisplatin is in a class of medications known as platinum-containing compounds. It works by killing, stopping or slowing the growth of tumor cells. Nab-paclitaxel is an albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation of paclitaxel, an antimicrotubule agent that stops tumor cells from growing and dividing and may kill them. Nab-paclitaxel may have fewer side effects and work better than other forms of paclitaxel. The goal of this clinical study is to see if sacituzumab govitecan-hziy (SG) can improve life spans of people with HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer and their tumor does not grow or spread when compared to currently available standard treatments, such as paclitaxel, nab-paclitaxel or capecitabine. This is a Phase Ib/II, open-label, multicenter, randomized, umbrella study in participants with locally advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHN). The phase II trial evaluates the effectiveness of cryocompression therapy alone or in combination with cilostazol in preventing paclitaxel-induced peripheral neuropathy (numbness, pain or tingling in the feet and hands) for patients with gynecologic cancers. Peripheral neuropathy is a common side effect of many chemotherapeutic agents, including paclitaxel. Paclitaxel is in a class of medications called antimicrotubule agents. It stops cancer cells from growing and dividing and may kill them. Cryocompression is a therapy that combines compression garments or dressings with cooling of the treated area. Cilostazol is in a class of medications called platelet-aggregation inhibitors (antiplatelet medications). It works by improving blood flow to the legs. Combining more than one drug and giving them after surgery may kill any remaining tumor cells. It is not yet known which combination chemotherapy regimen is more effective in treating resected breast cancer.
