Treatment With Nab-paclitaxel in Cutaneous SCC
Terminated
This is an investigator initiated phase II study to assess the efficacy of a chemotherapy called nab-paclitaxel as first line cytotoxic chemotherapy in subjects with unresectable locally advanced or metastatic cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). All subjects receive the treatment by vein weekly and receive the same dose of the treatment. The risk of developing cutaneous SCC is approximately 10% in a lifetime. The vast majority are treated surgically and do not recur. However a small percen... Read More

S0800, Nab-Paclitaxel, Doxorubicin, Cyclophosphamide, and Pegfilgrastim With or Without Bevacizumab in Treating Women With Inflammatory or Locally Advanced Breast Cancer
Completed
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation, doxorubicin, and cyclophosphamide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Colony-stimulating factors, such as pegfilgrastim, may increase the number of immune cells found in bone marrow or peripheral blood and may help the immune system recover from the side effects of chemotherapy. Monoclonal antibodies, such as... Read More

Carboplatin and Paclitaxel in Patients With Metastatic, Castrate-Resistant Prostate Cancer
Terminated
The purpose of this study is to look at the clinical benefit of carboplatin and paclitaxel and correlate response to study treatment with biologic parameters (i.e. lab studies of blood, urine, or tissue). It is hoped that this will allow researchers to gain insight into the underlying biology of prostate tumor progression and perhaps predict which patients may benefit from this chemotherapy regimen.

Safety and Efficacy of Carboplatin/Paclitaxel and Carboplatin/Paclitaxel/Bevacizumab With and Without Pictilisib in Previously Untreated Advanced or Recurrent Non-small Cell Lung Cancer
Completed
This multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial will evaluate the efficacy and safety of carboplatin/paclitaxel and carboplatin/paclitaxel/bevacizumab with and without pictilisib in particpants with previously untreated advanced or recurrent non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Particpants will be randomized to receive 4 cycles of carboplatin (C)/paclitaxel (P) and either pictilisib or placebo, with (participants with non-squamous NSCLC) or without (participants with squamous... Four Versus Six Cycles of Cyclophosphamide/Doxorubicin or Paclitaxel in Adjuvant Breast Cancer
Completed
This randomized phase III trial studies cyclophosphamide and doxorubicin hydrochloride compared with paclitaxel as adjuvant therapy in treating breast cancer in women with 0-3 positive axillary lymph nodes. Giving additional cancer treatment after surgery may help to lower the risk that the cancer will come back (adjuvant therapy). Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin hydrochloride, and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by k... Read More

This randomized phase II trial is studying how well carboplatin, paclitaxel, and bevacizumab work when given with or without everolimus in treating patients with malignant melanoma that has spread from where it started to other places in the body. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing.
