Paclitaxel Treatment Options in Houston, TX

The purpose of the Study is to select a dose and assess the safety and tolerability of INCB057643 as a monotherapy (Part 1 and Part 2) and in combination with standard-of-care (SOC) agents (Part 3 and Part 4) for subjects with advanced malignancies. Part 1 will determine the maximum tolerated dose of INCB057643 and/or a tolerated dose that demonstrates sufficient pharmacologic activity. Part 2 will further evaluate the safety, preliminary efficacy, PK, and PD of the dose(s) selected in Part 1 in select tumor types including solid tumors, lymphomas and other hematologic malignancies. Part 3 will determine the tolerated dose of INCB057643 in combination with select SOC agents; and assess the safety and tolerability of the combination therapy in select advanced solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. Part 4 will further evaluate the safety, preliminary efficacy, PK, and PD of the selected dose combination from Part 3 in 4 specific advanced solid tumor and hematologic malignancies. Read Less

The goal of this clinical research study is to learn if the combination of ipilimumab and ABI-007 (abraxane) can help to control metastatic melanoma. The safety of this drug combination will also be studied. Ipilimumab is designed to increase the immune system's ability to fight cancer. This phase II trial studies how well gemcitabine hydrochloride, cisplatin, and nab-paclitaxel (paclitaxel albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation) work in treating patients with biliary cancers (which includes the gallbladder and bile ducts inside and outside the liver) that have spread to other places in the body and usually cannot be cured or controlled with treatment. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine hydrochloride, cisplatin, and paclitaxel albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. This randomized phase II trial studies paclitaxel and carboplatin to see how well they work compared with bleomycin sulfate, etoposide phosphate, and cisplatin in treating patients with sex cord-ovarian stromal tumors that have spread to other places in the body and usually cannot be cured or controlled with treatment (advanced) or has returned (recurrent). Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. This study evaluates a topical nanoparticle paclitaxel ointment (SOR007) for the treatment of cutaneous metastases from non-melanoma cancer in adults. FB-7 is a Phase II, multi-center randomized study of neratinib in combination with weekly paclitaxel with or without trastuzumab followed by doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide (AC) as neoadjuvant therapy for women with HER2-positive locally advanced breast cancer. Patients in the control arm will receive neoadjuvant trastuzumab in combination with weekly paclitaxel followed by AC. The primary aim of the study is to determine the pathologic complete response (pCR) rate in breast and axillary nodes following the neoadjuvant therapy regimens. The secondary aims include determination of the pCR rate in breast only, clinical complete response (cCR) rate, two-year recurrence-free interval, two-year overall survival, toxicity of the neoadjuvant regimens, and exploration of molecular and genetic correlates of response. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel and polyglutamate paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Paclitaxel and polyglutamate paclitaxel may also stop the growth of ovarian epithelial or peritoneal cancer by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Sometimes, after treatment, the tumor may not need additional treatment until it progresses. In this case, observation may be sufficient. It is not yet known whether paclitaxel is more effective than polyglutamate paclitaxel or observation only in treating ovarian epithelial, peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer. Read Less

Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as elesclomol sodium and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading.
