Phase II Study of ZD6474 in Advanced NSCLC
Terminated
The goal of this clinical research study is to learn how the drug ZD6474 affects the amount of tumor cell death in the body and the amount of blood that can be supplied to the tumor. The safety of ZD6474 alone and when given with chemotherapy will be studied. In addition, the side effects and response to this treatment will also be studied.

Paclitaxel, Ifosfamide, and Carboplatin Followed By Autologous Stem Cell Transplant in Treating Patients With Germ Cell Tumors That Did Not Respond to Cisplatin
Completed
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, ifosfamide, and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) may kill more tumor cells. An autologous peripheral stem cell transplant may be able to replace blood-forming cells that were destroyed by chemotherapy. This may allow more chemotherapy to be given so that more tumor cells are killed. PU... Read More

Completed
This phase I trial studies the side effects and the best dose of cilengitide when given together with paclitaxel weekly in treating patients with solid tumors that have spread nearby or to other areas of the body and cannot be removed by surgery. Cilengitide may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking blood flow to the tumor.
