Individualized Treatment in Treating Patients With Stage II-IVB Nasopharyngeal Cancer Based on EBV DNA
Active Not Recruiting
There are two study questions we are asking in this randomized phase II/III trial based on a blood biomarker, Epstein Barr virus (EBV) deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) for locoregionally advanced non-metastatic nasopharyngeal cancer. All patients will first undergo standard concurrent chemotherapy and radiation therapy. When this standard treatment is completed, if there is no detectable EBV DNA in their plasma, then patients are randomized to either standard adjuvant cisplatin and fluorouracil chemo... Read More

Nab-Paclitaxel PIPAC in Combination With Paclitaxel and Ramucirumab for the Treatment of Stomach Cancer With Peritoneal Metastases
Not Yet Recruiting
This phase I trial tests the safety, side effects and best dose of nab-paclitaxel pressurized intraperitoneal aerosolized chemotherapy (PIPAC) in combination with second-line chemotherapy, paclitaxel and ramucirumab, and tests how well they work in treating stomach cancer that has spread from where it first started to the tissue that lines the abdominal wall and organs (peritoneal metastases). Paclitaxel is in a class of medications called antimicrotubule agents. It stops tumor cells from growin... Read More

Shorter Chemo-Immunotherapy Without Anthracycline Drugs for Early-Stage Triple Negative Breast Cancer
Recruiting
This phase III trial compares the effects of shorter chemotherapy (chemo)-immunotherapy without anthracyclines to usual chemo-immunotherapy for the treatment of early-stage triple negative breast cancer. Paclitaxel is in a class of medications called anti-microtubule agents. It stops cancer cells from growing and dividing and may kill them. Carboplatin is in a class of medications known as platinum-containing compounds. It works in a way similar to the anticancer drug cisplatin, but may be bette... Read More

Effect of Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields, 150 kHz) as Front-Line Treatment of Locally-advanced Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma Concomitant With Gemcitabine and Nab-paclitaxel (PANOVA-3)
Completed
Brief Summary: The study is a prospective, randomized controlled phase III trial aimed to test the efficacy and safety of Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) in combination with gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel, for front line treatment of locally-advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma. The device is an experimental, portable, battery operated device for chronic administration of alternating electric fields (termed TTFields or TTF) to the region of the malignant tumor, by means of surface, insulated elec... Pembrolizumab, Carboplatin, and Paclitaxel in Treating Patients With Stage III-IV Ovarian, Primary Peritoneal, or Fallopian Tube Cancer
Active Not Recruiting
This phase II trial studies how well pembrolizumab works when given in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel in treating patients with stage III-IV ovarian, primary peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the grow... Read More

New and Emerging Therapies for the Treatment of Resectable, Borderline Resectable, or Locally Advanced Pancreatic Cancer, PIONEER-Panc Study
Active Not Recruiting
This is a phase II study using the Bayesian platform design. There are three clinical stage groups of localized pancreatic cancer: resectable, borderline resectable, and locally advanced disease. Each stage group will have a defined standard of care chemotherapy regimen for a control arm, serving as a basis of comparison. Each group may have one or more experimental arms. Experimental arms may be added to the platform over time, and the effects of the experimental treatments will be tested again... Read More

Nab-paclitaxel and Alpelisib for the Treatment of Anthracycline Refractory Triple Negative Breast Cancer With PIK3CA or PTEN Alterations
Active Not Recruiting
This phase II trial studies how well nab-paclitaxel and alpelisib works in treating patients with triple negative breast cancer with PIK3CA or PTEN alterations that does not respond to anthracycline chemotherapy (anthrocycline refractory). Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as nab-paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Alpelisib may stop the growth of tumor cells by block... Read More
