Genetic Predictors of Benefit to Pembrolizumab
Terminated
The primary objective is to determine if mutation load underlies sensitivity to pembrolizumab alone and in combination with chemotherapy. This will be a 3-arm, multi-center, open-label, non-randomized biomarker trial in patients with advanced, treatment-naive NSCLC. Patients will receive 1 of 3 possible cohorts as per investigator's discretion. Patients with non-squamous histology may receive any of the 3 cohorts; patients with squamous histology may receive either cohorts 1 and 2.

Adjuvant Therapeutic Cancer Vaccine (AST-201, pUMVC3-hIGFBP-2) in Patients With Advanced Ovarian Cancer
Not Yet Recruiting
The purpose of this phase 2 study is to assess the efficacy and safety for adjuvant therapeutic cancer vaccine AST-201 (pUMVC3-hIGFBP-2) in patients with newly diagnosed homologous-recombination proficient(HRP) advanced ovarian cancer (Stage III) after debulking surgery. Patients will receive AST-201 with rhuGM-CSF(Colony Stimulating Factor) or placebo with rhuGM-CSF in combination with standard adjuvant chemotherapy(Paclitaxel/Carboplatin).

Taladegib, Paclitaxel, Carboplatin, and Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Localized Esophageal or Gastroesophageal Junction Cancer
Terminated
This phase IB/II trial studies the side effects of taladegib, paclitaxel, carboplatin, and external beam radiation therapy and to see how well they work in treating patients with esophageal or gastroesophageal junction cancer found only in the tissue or organ where it began, and has not spread to nearby lymph nodes or to other parts of the body (localized). Taladegib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as pac... Read More

Pilot Study of Chemotherapy for HPV-Associated Oropharyngeal Cancer
Completed
Doctors leading this study will give blood tests to head and neck cancer participants during the beginning of chemotherapy treatment (also known as induction therapy) to see if these blood tests can help predict tumor shrinkage after therapy and reduce the amount of additional radiotherapy or chemotherapy treatment the participant may need. This study will also examine ways to reduce overall side effects of treatment using robotic surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, or radiotherapy alone.

Combination Chemotherapy, Amifostine, and Peripheral Stem Cell Transplantation in Treating Patients With Stage II, Stage III, or Stage IV Breast Cancer
Completed
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining chemotherapy with peripheral stem cell transplantation may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more tumor cells. Amifostine may protect normal cells from the side effects of chemotherapy. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy, amifostine, and peripheral stem cell transplantation in treating pat... Read More

Chemotherapy, Surgery, and Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Gastric Cancer
Completed
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Combining chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery may kill more tumor cells. E7296 was conducted to study neoadjuvant chemotherapy and postoperative chemoradiation therapy in patients diagnosed with high-risk gastric cancer using a new neoadjuvant regimen: paclitaxel plus cisplatin. It was hypothesized that t... Read More

Cisplatin and Fluorouracil Compared With Carboplatin and Paclitaxel in Treating Patients With Inoperable Locally Recurrent or Metastatic Anal Cancer
Active Not Recruiting
This randomized phase II trial studies how well cisplatin and fluorouracil work compared with carboplatin and paclitaxel in treating patients with anal cancer that cannot be removed by surgery, has come back at or near the same place as the primary tumor, or spread to other places in the body. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, fluorouracil, carboplatin and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividin... Completed
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Interferon Alfa, Isotretinoin, and Paclitaxel in Treating Patients With Recurrent Small Cell Lung Cancer

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Some tumors become resistant to chemotherapy drugs.
