A Research Study Investigating Semaglutide in People With Early Alzheimer's Disease (EVOKE Plus)
Active Not Recruiting
This study is done to find out whether the medicine, semaglutide, has a positive effect on early Alzheimer's disease. Participants will either get semaglutide or placebo (a "dummy" medicine which does not contain any study medicine) - which treatment participants get is decided by an equal chance. The study will last for up to 173 weeks (about 3 years and 4 months). Participants will have 17 clinic visits and 1 phone call with the study doctor. The study includes various tests and scans. Research Study on Whether a Combination of 2 Medicines (NNC0194 0499 and Semaglutide) Works in People With Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)
Completed
This study is being done to see if a combination of 2 medicines (called NNC0194-0499 and semaglutide) can reduce liver damage in patients with non alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). NNC0194-0499 is a new medicine which works in the liver. Semaglutide is a well-known medicine, which is already used by doctors to treat type 2 diabetes in many countries. It also helps with weight loss and may reduce liver damage, and so prevent future liver complications. It works in a different way to NNC0194 0499... Read More

Brain Plasticity and GLP-1 Receptor Agonist Treatment for Obesity
Not Yet Recruiting
Glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA), such as Ozempic and Wegovy, have been rapidly adopted for the treatment of obesity in both youth and adults. However, despite this rapid adoption and the known GLP-1RA mechanism of action for weight loss, which targets brain circuits responsible for appetite and eating behaviors, almost nothing is known about how these drugs affect the brain in youth who are treated for obesity, or how these drugs affect the brain of youth differently from adu... Focusing on the Menopausal Transition to Improve Mid-Life Women's Health
Not Yet Recruiting
What if midlife women, who are inherently at an increased risk for future cardiometabolic disease due to transitioning into menopause, had access to a suite of evidence-based health interventions? Could these interventions reduce menopause-related inflammation, restore a healthier cardiometabolic profile, reverse epigenetic aging, and reduce bothersome menopausal symptoms? The ultimate goal of this work is to attenuate future disease and enhance women's quality of life, extend healthspan and inc... Read More
