Neoadjuvant Study With Combination Immuno-oncology for Primary Clear Cell Renal Cell Cancer
Recruiting
The NESCIO-trial is a multicenter, randomized, open-label, three-arm phase II trial investigating different combinations of neoadjuvant immunotherapy in patients with primary, resectable, intermediate to high-risk, clear-cell renal cell carcinoma. In this trial patients will be randomized 1:1:1 to receive either 2 cycles of nivolumab 360mg every 3 weeks (arm A), 2 cycles of ipilimumab 1 mg/kg + nivolumab 3 mg/kg every 3 weeks (arm B) or 2 cycles of relatlimab 360mg + nivolumab 360mg every 3 week... International REgistry of COnservative or Radical Treatment of Localized Kidney Tumors
Recruiting
Partial nephrectomy (PN) is the standard treatment for localized renal masses and should be preferred in clinical T1 (\<7 cm tumor diameter) renal tumors over radical nephrectomy (RN) whenever technically feasible. Nonetheless, indications, approaches, techniques for PN, and correct reporting of outcomes, are still a matter of great debate within the urology community. Concurrently, case-report series suggested that alternative strategies for the treatment of localized renal tumors (ablation tec... Read More

Muscle Connective Tissue in Limb Development and Disease
Recruiting
The objective of this work is to understand how the disruption of the muscle connective tissue contributes to the limb soft-tissue defects in radial dysplasia. In parallel, the researchers will investigate the role of muscle connective tissue in normal limb development.

Defining the Genetics, Biomarkers and Outcomes for Dilated Cardiomyopathy
Recruiting
Finding new ways to diagnose and treat Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM) could improve the health and well-being of patients with this condition. The main aim of this research study is to help develop better ways of diagnosing and treating patients with DCM. The information that is collected may help develop tailored treatments for patients with this disease in the future. This research study will recruit patients with DCM from a number of centres across England and follow their health over a period... Read More

Deep Liver Phenotyping and Immunology Study
Recruiting
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and cholangiocarcinoma are the two most common causes of primary liver cancer and HCC is the second highest cause of cancer death worldwide. It is known that most of these cancers occur in patients who already have a liver condition. Despite close monitoring of many patients who have liver disease with regular ultrasound scans, HCC and cholangiocarcinoma are often discovered at a late stage. This is because they rarely cause symptoms until they have reached an adva... Read More

Sodium (23Na) MRI for Tumour Characterisation and Assessment of Therapy Response in Breast Cancer
Recruiting
The scope of this study is the methodological development and optimisation of sodium MRI (23Na-MRI) protocols for breast cancer imaging. The study further proposes to utilise biomarkers obtained from 23Na-imaging (cell integrity), FDG-PET (metabolism), multi-parametric MRI (perfusion, vascularity, cellularity, morphology) to generate parameter maps specific for physiological processes in breast cancer.

ACTIVE-IBD Study: Physical Activity and Sleep in Paediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Recruiting
Assessment of physical activity on children with Inflammatory Bowel Disease using questionnaires and wrist watch based activity monitors.
The participants will be recruited from paediatric IBD clinics and will undergo questionnaires to assess their activity level, disease activity and quality of life scores. The participants will then be invited to wear a wrist based accelerometer for a week. The participants will complete a physical activity diary, food diary and stool chart at the same time....
