This phase II trial studies how well OBI-3424 works in treating patients with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia that has come back (relapsed) or does not response to treatment (refractory). Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as OBI-3424, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. OBI-3424 may reduce the amount of leukemia in the body.

This will be a single-site, five-arm, parallel group randomized control trial involving patients undergoing knee or hip replacement surgery. The investigators will compare five different styles of 5-minute, audio-recoded mindfulness practices delivered via app 7 days before to surgery, 2 days before to surgery, 2 days after surgery, and 6 days after surgery.

Bevacizumab Treatment For Type 1 ROP

Type 1 retinopathy of prematurity in zone I represents the most severe type of ROP and has the worst prognosis. It is unknown whether low-dose bevacizumab will be successful in these severe cases. Also unknown is the timing and extent of peripheral retinal vascularization after low-dose bevacizumab compared with the standard dose. The current study will evaluate whether doses of 0.063 mg and 0.25mg are effective as treatment for type 1 ROP, with ROP and retinal vessels all in zone I.

New Options for Treating Knee Osteoarthritis Pain

This study will be a single-site, four-arm, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial. Knee osteoarthritis patients (N=164) will be randomized to Reiki, Sham Reiki (placebo control), mindfulness meditation (active control), or a waitlist control condition. The three active interventions will be applied for 20 minutes, once a week, for four consecutive weeks in a university laboratory setting.
