The main purpose of this study is to: * Learn about the safety of ubamatamab and to find out what dose of ubamatamab can be given alone or with cemiplimab to patients with ovarian cancer or cancer of the uterus * The study will also look at the levels of ubamatamab and/or cemiplimab in the body and measure how well the body can remove the study drug(s). This study is open to adults with extensive stage small cell lung cancer. The study is in people with advanced cancer that had previously received platinum-based chemotherapy and are eligible to receive a single agent chemotherapy treatment. The purpose of this study is to find the highest dose of BI 764532 that people can tolerate when taken together with a single agent chemotherapy. BI 764532 is an antibody-like molecule that may help the immune system fight cancer. Participants may continue to take BI 764532 as long as they benefit from treatment and can tolerate it. During this time, participants visit the study site regularly. The visits also depend on the response to the treatment. At the study visits, the doctors check the health of the participants, take necessary laboratory tests, and note any health problems that could have been caused by the study treatment. Read Less

This study is open to men between 18 and 65 years of age with opioid use disorder. Opioid use disorder is also called opioid addiction or opioid dependence. People can join the study if they currently take a medicine called buprenorphine. People with opioid dependence can act on impulse, which can lead to risky behaviours. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 1356225 improves impulse control in men with opioid dependence. Participants are put into 2 groups by chance. One group takes BI 1356225 tablets and the other group takes placebo tablets. Placebo tablets look like BI 1356225 tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants take a tablet once a day for 8 days. All participants also continue taking buprenorphine. Participants are in the study for up to 6 weeks. During this time, they visit the study site 3 times. At visit 2, participants stay at the study site for 9 nights. Doctors test participants' impulsivity using tasks or games on a computer and questionnaires. The results are compared between the 2 groups to see whether the treatment works. Endometriosis is a painful disorder of the uterus affecting 6-10% of women of childbearing age. Endometriosis affects daily activities, social relationships, sexuality and sexual activity, and mental health. This study will evaluate how well elagolix in combination with combined oral contraceptives (COC) works within the body and/or how safe it is compared to placebo (does not contain treatment drug). This study will assess the dysmenorrhea (painful periods) response in participants with endometriosis and associated pain. Elagolix is an approved drug for the management of moderate to severe pain associated with endometriosis. Participants are randomly put in 1 of 3 groups, called treatment arms. Each group receives a different treatment. There is a 1 in 3 chance that participants will be assigned to placebo. Adult female participants who still have periods with a diagnosis of endometriosis will be enrolled. Around 800 participants will be enrolled in the study at multiple sites in the United States, including Puerto Rico. Participants will receive oral elagolix or placebo tablets in combination with combined oral contraceptive (COC) or placebo capsules for 3 months. All the participants will receive elagolix tablets in combination with COC tablets from Month 4 through Month 18. There will be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the course of the study at a hospital or clinic. This study is a rolling arm study of investigational agents as monotherapy or in combination with pembrolizumab in participants with anti-programmed cell death 1 (PD-1)/ programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) refractory ES-SCLC in need of second-line treatment. This study will have 2 parts: an initial safety lead-in to determine safety and tolerability for experimental combinations of investigational agents without an established recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D) followed by an efficacy evaluation. Investigational agents will initiate directly in or be added to the efficacy evaluation after an initial evaluation of safety and tolerability of the investigational agent has been completed in a separate study or in the safety lead-in of this study. If an RP2D for a combination being evaluated in the safety lead-in is established from another study, then the efficacy evaluation may begin at the determined RP2D. End-stage heart failure (HF) is a progressive illness with a mortality rate similar to most advanced cancers.Roughly 5% of patients with HF have end-stage disease that is refractory to medical therapy (stage D heart failure). When patients reach this point in their disease, the only treatments known to prolong life are cardiac transplantation or left ventricular assist devices. In patients who do not qualify for these options, or elect a palliative approach, inotropes are frequently used to improve hemodynamics through an increase in cardiac output and reduction in filling pressures. While inotropes provide profound symptomatic relief, these benefits are accompanied by significant risks of progressive adverse cardiac remodeling, arrhythmias, and sudden death. There is, therefore, an urgent need to develop strategies to reduce the dose or duration of inotrope use in the management of patients with stage D of HF. Read Less

This study is researching an experimental drug called odronextamab, referred to as study drug. The study is focused on participants with previously untreated follicular lymphoma (a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma or NHL). This study will be made up of two parts: Part 1 (non-randomized) and Part 2 (randomized - controlled). The aim of Part 1 of the study is to see how safe and tolerable the study drug is when given alone. The aim of Part 2 of the study is to see how the study drug works compared to rituximab (called the "comparator drug") and chemotherapy (the current standard of care for NHL). Standard of care means the usual medication expected and used when receiving treatment for a condition. The study is looking at several other research questions, including: * What side effects may happen from taking the study drug * How much study drug is in the blood at different times * Whether the body makes antibodies against the study drug (which could make the study drug less effective or could lead to side effects) * How the study drug affects quality of life and ability to complete routine daily activities. This clinical trial evaluates the use of self-collected vaginal samples for human papillomavirus (HPV) testing in patients referred for a colposcopy and/or cervical excisional procedures to improve cervical cancer prevention. HPV is a common virus which usually causes infections that last only a few months, but sometimes can last longer. It is known to cause a variety of cancers including cancer of the cervix. Even though there are ways to detect cervical cancer early, many individuals do not undergo screening that involves pelvic exams. Over half of all new cervical cancer cases are among those who have either never been screened or who are not screened enough. Without appropriate screening and care, preventable pre-cancers may turn into cancer. A new way to detect cervical cancer is to have individuals collect their own vaginal sample for HPV testing to know their risk for cervical cancer. This may give individuals more flexibility and comfort having the ability to collect samples themselves, compared to a doctor performing a speculum examination and collecting the samples in a clinic. This study compares clinical accuracy of HPV testing on self-collected vaginal samples versus cervical samples collected by clinician. The Self-collection for HPV Testing to Improve Cervical Cancer Prevention (SHIP) Trial is part of the National Cancer Institute (NCI)'s Cervical Cancer 'Last Mile' Initiative, a public private partnership that seeks to increase access to cervical cancer screening. The SHIP Trial focuses on developing clinical evidence to inform the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)'s regulatory reviews of self-collection approaches as alternative sample collection approaches for cervical cancer screening. Several industry partner-specific self-collection device and assay combinations will be non-competitively and independently evaluated with a similar study design framework to inform pre-approval and/or post-approval regulatory requirements.
