Diabetes Paid Clinical Trials in Washington

The goal of this clinical trial is to improve communication among clinicians, patients with memory problems, and their family members. We are testing a way to help clinicians have better conversations to address patients' goals for their healthcare. To do this, we created a simple, short guide called the "Jumpstart Guide." The goal of this research study is to show that using this kind of guide is possible and can be helpful for patients and their families. Patients' clinicians may receive a Jumpstart Guide before the patient's clinic visit. Researchers will compare patients whose clinician received a Jumpstart Guide to patients whose clinician did not receive a guide to see if more patients in the Jumpstart Guide group had conversations about the patient's goals for their healthcare. The goal of this feasibility trial is to test whether a novel insulin dosing calculator can improve blood glucose management for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus on hospital admission. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Whether using this calculator leads to no excessive hypoglycemia? * Whether using this calculator leads to a decrease of hyperglycemia? Participants will receive initial insulin doses by the calculator on hospital admission, and the rest of care will follow standard of care. The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the feasibility of a social media intervention to support diabetes management in adolescents with type 1 diabetes. Adolescent participants will be randomized to receive diabetes education and peer support over Instagram or to usual outpatient diabetes care. Researchers will assess whether the social media intervention is feasible. In addition, the study team will also explore and compare changes in glucose levels and person-reported outcomes between the two groups. Read Less

A Prospective, Multicenter Evaluation of Accuracy and Safety of the Eversense CGM System with Enhanced Features. The purpose of this clinical investigation is to evaluate the accuracy of the Eversense 524 Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (Eversense 524 CGM System) and ROME CGM System with next generation feature enhancements compared to reference glucose measurements in adults 18 years of age and older with diabetes. The investigation will also evaluate safety of the Eversense 524 CGM System and ROME CGM System usage. Additionally, the safety and accuracy of the Eversense 524 CGM System will be evaluated in the pediatric population ages 14-17 with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus. Read Less

RADIANT is a network of 14 clinical sites and several laboratories dedicated to the study of atypical diabetes. The objective of this study is to define new forms of diabetes and the unique mechanisms underlying these forms of atypical diabetes. The specific aims are to: 1. Identify and enroll individuals and families with undiagnosed rare and atypical forms of diabetes. 2. Determine the etiologic basis of the metabolic disorder among individuals and families with novel forms of rare and atypical diabetes. 3. Understand the pathophysiology of individuals and families with novel forms of rare and atypical forms of diabetes. Read Less
