Losartan in Prevention of Radiation-Induced Heart Failure
Recruiting
This study is being done to see if losartan affects the chances of developing radiation-induced heart failure in patients who are receiving radiation therapy as part of standard of care treatment for breast cancer. The interventions involved in this study are: * Losartan * Radiation Therapy (standard of care)

Outcomes of Functional Substrate Mapping of Ventricular Tachycardia
Recruiting
The goal of this registry database is to demonstrate the safety and effectiveness of functional ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation using SENSE protocol in patients with ischaemic VT. Mortality and the need for ICD therapies at 12 months post-ablation will be compared with propensity-matched controls undergoing substrate-based ablation alone.

Survivorship Care for Women Living With Ovarian Cancer: (POSTCARE-O)
Recruiting
This study will enroll 120 women living with ovarian cancer following completion of initial treatment. Our objective is to test an intervention designed to provide support during the survivorship transition for this population, who live with a high degree of morbidity related to the illness and its treatment as well as a high risk of recurrence. Study participants will be randomly assigned to receive survivorship care using the POSTCare-O process or usual care. The primary outcome is quality of... Read More

This research is being done to see if proton beam radiation therapy (PBT) results in fewer changes to a participant's heart measured with MRI-imaging than conventional or "photon" radiation therapy (XRT) for participants with non-metastatic left sided breast cancer. The names of the two study groups in this research study are: * Proton Radiation Therapy (PBT) * Conventional or "Photon" Radiation Therapy (XRT)

Time Restricted Eating in Sleep Apnea
Recruiting
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a highly prevalent disorder that is associated with both cardiovascular and metabolic dysfunction, such as hypertension, increased blood glucose levels and diabetes, obesity, and nonalcoholic fatty liver. While continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), the best available OSA treatment, has been shown to improve blood pressure in OSA, it does not appear to improve metabolic consequences of OSA, and other therapies for OSA-induced dysmetabolism are needed. Animal... Read More

ON/OFF Stimulation and Reward Motivation in Patients With Deep Brain Stimulators
Recruiting
We propose to study approach/avoidance behavior as measured by the Approach Avoidance task in 20 epilepsy patients undergoing implementation of depth electrodes for seizure monitoring in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at MGH. We will also study the effects of VC/VS electrical stimulation on approach-avoidance conflict in 20 adult patients who have undergone DBS implantation for severe MDD and/or OCD. There are 100-200 patients in the world with DBS electrodes in the VC/VS, and our research team ca... Read More

Measurement of the Partial Pressure of Oxygen in Cutaneous Tumors Using Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) Oximetry
Recruiting
This protocol will take measurements of a variety of tumors involving the skin in order to assess changes in tumor oxygen from hyperoxygenation therapy and standard cancer-directed treatments, to demonstrate the clinical feasibility of using in vivo Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) Oximetry to obtain clinically useful measurements of tumor oxygen levels from cancer patients.
