The prevalence of PTSD is substantially higher in individuals with OUD than in the general population, with nearly 90% reporting lifetime trauma exposure and 33% meeting diagnostic criteria for PTSD. This study aims to determine if improved risk stratification tools and interventions to mitigate malnutrition reduce postoperative risk in patients undergoing elective or emergent resection surgery for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and if adding immune modulation nutrition improves surgical outcomes. The primary objective is to assess whether preoperative malnutrition screening and intervention minimize postoperative complications. The goal of this IDEAL project is to examine the effectiveness and implementation process of the video-based Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) + community health worker (CHW) (hereafter: "IDEAL") intervention compared with a wait-list control group (hereafter: "CONTROL") to improve glycemic control among Chinese immigrants with Type 2 diabetes (T2D) in New York City (NYC). Participants will be randomized with equal allocation to one of the 2 groups. The IDEAL group will receive 1 DSMES brief video/week for 24 weeks delivered via text message. The CHW will assess participants' SDOH barriers to T2D care and link them to available resources in the community. This study is being done to learn whether a telehealth intervention called "Internet-Based Parent Child Interaction Therapy," or I-PCIT," can help parents improve the child's behavior if the child currently or previously went through cancer treatment. Parents who choose to be in this study will complete a survey to help researchers figure out if the parent is eligible for the larger study. If a parent is eligible for the larger study and chooses to participate, if so, the participants will be randomly assigned to either receive the I-PCIT intervention now or to be on a waitlist and begin I-PCIT in 5-6 months. This phase Ib trial tests the safety, side effects, and best dose of leflunomide in combination with gemcitabine in treating patients with pancreatic cancer that may have spread from where it first started to nearby tissue, lymph nodes, or distant parts of the body (advanced) and cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable). Improving the effectiveness of gemcitabine without increasing side effects could lead to a greater impact for pancreatic cancer patients' survival and quality of life. Gemcitabine is commonly used as a first-line chemotherapy treatment for pancreatic cancer. Leflunomide is a drug approved for use against rheumatoid arthritis that is being looked at as a cancer treatment option. It has shown promising results when combined with gemcitabine. Giving gemcitabine in combination with leflunomide may be safe and effective in treating patients with advanced unresectable pancreatic cancer. Read Less
