The goal of this pilot study is to learn about healing after dental implant placement in patients taking a class of biologic drug called Tumor Necrosis Factor or TNF-alpha antagonist or inhibitor. The main questions it aims to answer are: Do patients taking TNF-alpha inhibitors have any complications after the placement of dental implants? Do patients taking TNF-alpha inhibitor experience increased pain after dental implant placement compared to the expected levels when healing from this procedure? Researchers will recruit patients both taking these drugs and those not taking these drugs to compare the outcomes between the two groups. Participants missing teeth will be recruited to receive dental implants to meet ideal dental status and will be followed before and after the implant placement to determine levels of health and ensure proper healing. Participants will be followed for a total of one year and follow up visits will consist of both clinical examination and radiographs (x-rays) to evaluate bone level and implant status. Participants will also be asked to rate their pain during clinic visits and at home on a diary and record the amount of pain control medication they take after the implant procedure. Read Less

This is a FIH study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, PK, immunogenicity, and preliminary antitumor activity of XB010 as a single agent and in combination with pembrolizumab in subjects with locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors for whom alternative therapies do not exist or available therapies are intolerable or no longer effective. The proposed Center will leverage burgeoning real-time data linkage capabilities among health systems, Medicaid payors, and criminal legal (e.g., jail booking data, jail release data) systems, to identify individuals coming in and out of jail for suicide assessment and prevention, and to better coordinate care across these disparate systems. This Center will advance the fields of suicide prevention and criminal legal system-based mental health by solving a well-known, central problem in both fields: the inability to track and intervene with individuals moving in and out of both and often multiple systems. The goal of this clinical trial is to understand the patient and clinic visit characteristics that affect health outcomes for individuals with knee osteoarthritis (OA) pain using topical diclofenac gel. The main questions it aims to answer are: * What baseline patient characteristics predict response to topical diclofenac? * Does patient physiology during the study visit predict response to topical diclofenac? * Do study visit characteristics predict response to topical diclofenac? The goal of this clinical trial is to develop a method to detect Barrett's esophagus in individuals with a new office based diagnostic test. Barrett's esophagus is a condition in which the flat pink lining of the swallowing tube that connects the mouth to the stomach (the esophagus) becomes damaged by acid reflux. The main question it aims to answer is: Can this approach demonstrate efficacy for screening of Barrett's esophagus? Participants will: * Participate in a questionnaire. * Undergo a capsule balloon test, called EsoCheck. * Have their EsoCheck sample sent to the laboratory for an EsoGuard test, which is used to detect Barrett's esophagus. * Participants will undergo upper endoscopy as part of standard of care. Lipomas are benign tumors composed of mature adipose tissue. While harmless, these are the most common type of soft tissue growths with some patients developing numerous lipomas. Patients often seek removal for cosmesis, or symptoms caused by location and/or compression of surrounding structures. This exploratory study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of subcutaneous injections of cooled normal saline as a treatment option for lipomas. The study will assess whether this technique could serve as a viable alternative to existing treatment options, especially compared to topically applied fat-freezing devices. The Investigators propose that this method may offer a more comfortable nonsurgical option for targeted fat reduction, as the cold temperatures are applied directly to the lipomas. Read Less

Concussions are incredibly common, and often result in severe and long lasting symptoms, including, but not limited to, sleep deprivation and emotion dysregulation. This study aims to demonstrate the therapeutic benefits of sleep extension (napping) on emotion regulation in individuals after they sustain a concussion. Thus, sleep extension may be a cost-effective, low risk, supplemental treatment for those with emotion dysregulation following a concussion. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Is a nap an effective way to improve emotion regulation in individuals with a concussion? 2. The purpose of this clinical trial is to look at tyrosol's effects on endurance, strength, and fatigue resistance in humans. Additionally, the combination of tyrosol and creatine monohydrate will also be looked at to determine if there is a cooperative effect from using both together. It will be conducted over a 4-week period to compare the effects of the following substances: 1) tyrosol, 2) a placebo (a look-alike substance that contains no drug), 3) creatine, and 4) a combination containing both creatine and tyrosol. Endurance, strength, and fatigue resistance will be compared between groups through repeated testing (described below). Participants who pass initial screening will be invited on-site for day one (Visit 1) of testing where they will proceed with a series of tests which will include the following: (1) body composition; (2) cognitive testing; (3) full-body strength testing; (4) grip strength on both hands; (5) muscle power testing; (6 \& 7) Resting blood lactic acid testing followed by 5RM (repetition maximum) bench press, leading to multiple sets of bench press (based on the previous weight) completed to failure, followed by another blood lactic acid reading; (8) a repeat of the muscle power testing; (9) a 1 mile time trial run completed as fast as possible. After the 4-week supplementation period (\~28-34 days), all original measures will be repeated as before in the same order (Visit 2). Approximately 24 hours later (Visit 3) participants will then repeat all physical testing procedures except tests 1, 6, 7, and 8, to determine physical recovery. Additionally, questionnaires for soreness and perceived recovery will also be completed at the beginning of Visit 2 and 3, and again on its own as the only testing event at 48 hours post-Visit 2 (visit 4).
