The goal of this study is to obtain user feedback while placing and observing the DAISY uterine drain with wall suction. This study defines the obstetrical surgeons as "users" and the patients in whom the drain is placed as "participants." Participants are pregnant women who are undergoing cesarean delivery (CD) or D \& C, who have not entered active labor, who have consented to drain placement and who have met all the inclusion/exclusion criteria. The goal of this clinical trial is to study the effect of sacituzumab govitecan-hziy in adult patients with advanced thymoma and thymic carcinoma after progressing on at least one prior line of therapy. The main question it aims to answer is: • What is the overall response rate (ORR) in patients with advanced thymoma and thymic carcinoma? Participants will: * receive a fixed dose of 10 mg/kg given intravenously, once weekly on Days 1 and 8 of continuous 21-day treatment cycles until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity * have regular blood tests, scans, and examinations to monitor their health. * have blood and a biopsy of their tumor for research purposes. After spinal fusion and decompression surgery there is a possible risk of developing chronic back pain. After surgery there is typically inflammation around the operation site and this inflammation can be painful and debilitating to patients. Many possible treatment plans have been incorporated to assist the patient with recovery - notably medications, physical therapy, and braces. However, few studies have looked at laser diodes that utilize high-power laser lights that are aimed at decreasing pain and inflammation. Investigators aim to look compare patients using a back brace with laser diodes within versus those who wear a normal brace used as a placebo. The investigators will conduct a 2-arm 6-month randomized clinical controlled trial to evaluate the effectiveness of an oral Telehealth Intervention (THI) in preventing cancer-related oral complications, improving oral health maintenance and oral health related quality of life, and reducing systemic inflammation compared to Usual Care (UC) among unselected cancer survivors. This clinical trial evaluates whether acupressure is helpful to reduce anxiety related to chemotherapy. Anxiety is experienced by many patients with cancer. Anxiety can be related to chemotherapy and may contribute to other symptoms, such as nausea and poor quality of life. Some patients diagnosed with cancer express interest in non-medicinal ways to manage symptoms. Acupressure is a noninvasive intervention that can be used for many different symptoms. Acupressure is well tolerated with minimal reports of adverse reactions, making it a good choice for patients with cancer. This study may help researchers learn whether acupressure is useful for managing anxiety in patients undergoing chemotherapy. Read Less

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the effects of peer coaching models in older adults with unmanaged type two diabetes. The main questions it aims to answer are: Are peer coaching models effective at promoting Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus self-management? If effective, which facets of the peer model are most effective? Peer coaches will Undergo peer coach training. Reach out to peer participants on a weekly/biweekly time frame to discuss self-management and goal setting. Retain records of contact, topics discussed, and general notes on interactions. Researchers will compare differences in the frequency of contact, as well as how peer coaches were matched to peer participants to see if efficacy of the intervention is altered between groups. This is a multicenter, open-label, Phase 1 study. The study will enroll subjects with advanced solid tumors. It consists of three parts. Part 1 is dose-escalation part. In part 1, the safety and tolerability of YL211 in patients with selected advanced solid tumors will be evaluated and the MTD and RED will be determined. Part 2 is backfill enrollment part. We will further estimate the safety and efficacy of YL211 in patients with selected adcance tumor to select the RED(s) of YL211. Part 3 is dose-expansion part. Osteoporotic fractures are a major but underrecognized problem in men. There is growing evidence that low dietary fiber intake is a modifiable risk factor for age-related bone loss in men. Preclinical and human studies in adolescents and postmenopausal women suggest that dietary fiber intake influences bone metabolism by modulating the gut microbiome to augment intestinal calcium absorption, but it is unclear through what molecular mechanism and whether dietary fiber has the same effects in older men. In this crossover intervention study, the investigators will enroll and follow 30 older male Veterans to evaluate the effects of soluble corn fiber on intestinal calcium absorption and explore the contribution of the gut microbiome.
