Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) has a high incidence of mortality and significant morbidity, with mortality exceeding 30% in the first two days.The initial injury is related to increasing intracranial pressure, cerebral edema, and neuronal injuries associated with the release of iron. Iron has been shown to increase the incidence of cerebral edema, ischemia, and formation of hydrocephalus. Deferoxamine mesylate (DFO), a hydrophilic chelator, creates a stable complex with free iron thus preventing the formation of iron related free radicals. This trial will evaluate the safety and efficacy of clinical deferoxamine for the treatment of aSAH for patients that are admitted to the hospital at the University of Michigan or Peking University Health Science Center. Eligible participants will be enrolled and randomized to 1 of 2 doses of Deferoxamine or placebo (saline). This phase Ib trial investigates the side effects of durvalumab and tremelimumab after radioembolization (radiation particles against liver tumors) and to see how well they work in treating patients with liver cancer that cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable) and has spread to nearby tissues and lymph nodes (locally advanced). Durvalumab and tremelimumab are antibodies (proteins produced by the defense system of the body \[immune system\]) that have been made in the laboratory and may improve the ability of the immune system to detect and fight cancer. This is a phase 3, open label, single arm study of padeliporfin in the treatment of Upper Tract Urothelial Carcinoma (UTUC). The ENLIGHTED study will recruit patients with low-grade non-invasive upper tract urothelial carcinoma in either the kidney or the ureter. Upon successful completion of this study, the investigators expect the study's contribution to be the development of noninvasive imaging biomarkers to predict IEEG functional dynamics and epilepsy surgical outcomes. Findings from the present study may inform current and new therapies to map and alter seizure spread, and pave the way for less invasive, better- targeted, patient-specific interventions with improved surgical outcomes. Small fiber neuropathy affects millions of peoples worldwide. The neuropathy is causing disabling burning pain and dysautonomia such as dizziness with standing, brain fog, fatigue, constipation, too much or too little sweating. The detection of nerve damage is complicated and not widely available; it requires either skin biopsy or specialized equipment and training. This project utilizes the mathematical processing of skin pictures for the purpose to extract the statistical features related to loss of small fibers. The current protocol will examine the use of a plasmid DNA vaccine encoding AR, alone or with T-cell checkpoint blockade, to induce and/or augment therapeutic T-cells following androgen deprivation in patients with newly diagnosed prostate cancer scheduled to undergo prostatectomy. Patients without evidence of metastatic disease, with tissue remaining from a pre-treatment biopsy, and who are being considered for standard treatment by prostatectomy, will be invited to participate and will be on study for up to 15 months. Low income women of childbearing age are at increased risk for depression and often do not receive needed treatment. Investigators developed Mom-Net, an on-line cognitive behavioral treatment (CBT) for depression to address the needs of low income women of childbearing age. The intervention program also includes live coaching to help the mothers engage and learn the CBT material. Mom-Net has been shown to be highly effective in reducing depressive symptoms and improving parenting behavior and child adjustment, in earlier controlled trials. In this project the investigators are examining whether access to Mom-Net can be expanded by delivering it in Head Starts (HS). To address that broad question, the investigators will focus on two sets of scientific questions: 1. Implementation Questions: e.g., Can HS agencies deliver the program successfully; do HSs choose to sustain the program after the research project ends; what agency characteristics are associated with successful delivery of Mom-Net); 2. Effectiveness Questions: e.g., Does Mom-Net reduce maternal depression when delivered by Head Start agencies, with HS staff doing the coaching? Head Start agencies will be randomized to deliver either Mom-Net with the usual high-intensity coaching or with a low-intensity coaching alternative. Within each agency, depressed mothers will be randomized to receive either: 1) Mom-Net program; or 2) Treatment as Usual (TAU;) referral to community mental health providers). Mothers initially assigned to the TAU condition, will have the option of receiving Mom-Net at a later date. Mothers will participate in assessments of depressive symptoms, parenting behavior, and child adjustment at Time 1 (T1; prior to randomization); and Time 2 (T2; after the intervention period) and Time 3 (T3; one year after T1). The purpose of this study is to determine whether a consultation with a Personalized Therapeutics Clinic, or PTC, will help participants lower the risk for side effects (drug-drug interactions and drug-gene interactions) when taking many medications and help providers improve prescribing decisions for participants. A PTC is a clinical that will test your genes to gather information about your health that may help guide prescribing advice and offer you new information about your prescriptions. Doctors leading this study will look for variations (differences) in your genes that may suggest that you are at greater risk of having side effects or a greater chance of benefiting from certain medications.
