This clinical research study is being done to answer questions about how to treat cancer. To clear cancer cells from the body, the immune system needs the action of proteins called Type 1 interferons. The protein STING (for STimulator of INterferon Genes) stimulates the body to make Type 1 interferons. Type 1 interferons activate key molecules in cancer immunity to kill cancer cells. CRD3874 is a synthetic drug that activates STING, and STING stimulates the immune system to kill cancer cells. In experiments on blood from humans, CRD3874 makes blood cells produce molecules responsible for anti-cancer activity. CRD3874 was tested in mice with cancers including leukemia, head and neck cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer and sarcoma. In these mice, CRD3874 made tumors shrink or disappear, and some mice developed long-lasting immunity against cancer. The purpose of the study is to develop a prognostic index model for the rare disease of mycosis fungoides and sezary syndrome. This will be done by collecting standardized clinical data at various institutions. The primary objective of the study is a data collection initiative. The study will collect clinical and radiographic outcomes of patients implanted with patient specific rods. This phase II trial tests how well bright white light (BWL) therapy works in reducing cancer-related fatigue and depression in patients with prostate cancer that may have spread from where it first started to nearby tissue, lymph nodes, or distant parts of the body (advanced) and who are undergoing treatment with antiandrogen therapy (ADT) combination therapy. Combination treatment including ADT plus chemotherapy and androgen receptor (AR) targeted therapy or ADT plus AR targeted therapies work by reducing testosterone. Most prostate tumor cells rely on testosterone to help them grow; therefore, ADT combination therapy causes prostate tumor cells to die or to grow more slowly leading to improved overall survival in men with advanced prostate cancer when compared with ADT alone. However, lower levels of testosterone is also commonly associated with worsening fatigue and depression. If prolonged and severe, these complications can alter patient treatment plans, impacting not just quality of life, but leading to inadequate cancer control. BWL therapy is a type of phototherapy that utilizes bright white full-spectrum light, either through a light box or light therapy glasses to help regulate circadian rhythms. Circadian rhythms are physical, mental, and behavioral changes that follow a 24-hour cycle, including the sleep-wake cycle which can become disrupted in cancer patients undergoing treatment, leading to increased fatigue. Additionally, exposure to bright light may increase the production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that is associated with mood regulation. BWL therapy with AYOpro light therapy glasses may serve as a supportive care measure for men with advanced prostate to help reduce fatigue, as well as improve mood and overall quality of life during ADT combination therapy to maintain cancer care without suffering complications of therapy. Two hallmarks of both healthy aging and age-related disease are 1) memory and navigational deficits, particularly in orienting towards goal locations and planning how to navigate to them, and 2) increased susceptibility to stress and altered regulation of the stress response. However, there are marked individual differences in these age-related changes. The investigators' proposal will help characterize factors that contribute to this variability. Participants will be pseudorandomly assigned to stress-manipulated or control groups. The investigators will give both groups a novel immersive navigation task, validated by the PI in healthy young adults. This paradigm gives participants the opportunity to either (a) flexibly draw on spatial memory in order to plan efficient routes to goal locations, or (b) fall back on inefficient, but cognitively less-demanding, stimulus-response associations (i.e., habits). Using neuroimaging and behavioral measures, the investigators' protocol will test whether experimentally-induced stress leads individuals to bring fewer details about future locations to mind when route planning, and whether such restricted prospective thought ultimately biases participants towards relatively inflexible, habitual actions. This is a randomized clinical trial (RCT) to assess the efficacy of bariatric surgery vs medical weight loss vs. the "usual standard of care" to optimize a morbidly obese patient with end-stage osteoarthritis of the hip or knee joint for total joint arthroplasty (TJA). The study population will include patients with hip or knee joint osteoarthritis and BMI (Body Mass Index) \> 40 kg/m2 who are evaluated in the joint arthroplasty clinic at Boston Medical Center. The primary objective of the study is to determine if bariatric surgery or medical weight loss is more effective than the usual standard of care in optimizing a morbidly obese patient with osteoarthritis of the hip or knee joint for TJA. This will be determined by comparing the number of patients within each group who are able to lose weight through either bariatric surgery, medical weight loss, or the usual standard of care to achieve a BMI ≤ 40 kg/m2 to eventually undergo TJA. The secondary objectives of this study are to compare total operative time, postoperative complication rates, readmission rates, percentage of total body weight lost, revision rate, and reoperation rate. The ability of patients within each study arm to maintain a BMI ≤ 40 kg/m2 for up to 2 years after undergoing TJA will also be assessed, as well as their level of satisfaction before and after being in the study. The goal of this treatment study is to determine if doing lateral pharyngoplasty with tonsillectomy is better for children than doing tonsillectomy alone. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Do children experience less pain after surgery when lateral pharyngoplasty is performed with tonsillectomy compared to tonsillectomy alone? * Do children eat/drink better when lateral pharyngoplasty is performed with tonsillectomy compared to tonsillectomy alone? * Is there a lower risk of bleeding after tonsillectomy when lateral pharyngoplasty is performed? Researchers will compare children undergoing tonsillectomy and lateral pharyngoplasty with children undergoing tonsillectomy alone to see if the participants experience less pain, better oral intake, and less bleeding complications after surgery. Parents of participants will be asked to record pain scores and pain medications given, approximate amounts of daily oral intake, and any complications after surgery. Read Less

The goal of this Natural History Study for Charcot-Marie-Tooth is to acquire, record, and analyze patient-reported data and associated genetic reports, Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and clinical notes to identify the burden, diagnostic journey, and prevalence of disease that will aid scientists in their work toward finding a cure.
