Synbiotic Therapy for NP-PASC
Recruiting
Gut microbiome dysbiosis has been noted in patients with Post-acute sequelae (PASC) of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-CoronaVirus -2 (SARS-CoV-2). A study performed at Columbia found that plasma levels of the short chain fatty acid (SCFA), butyric acid, remained lower in people with Neuropsychiatric PASC (NP-PASC) than in people with PASC after SAR-CoV-2 infection. Synbiotics improve SCFA levels and are well-tolerated in the general population but have not been studied among people with PASC... Read More

Vibrator Use to Improve Sexual and Pelvic Floor Function Among Urogynecology Patients
Recruiting
Limited data exist describing the use and role of vibrators in a urogynecology population and no randomized controlled trials investigating the use of vibrators as a therapeutic tool to enhance sexual and pelvic floor function in urogynecology patients has been conducted. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of vibrator use in improving sexual and pelvic floor function in urogynecology patients who report sexual dysfunction.

Characterizing the Pathophysiological Role of the Pallido-thalamocortical Motor Pathway in Parkinson's Disease.
Recruiting
When a patient gets DBS surgery, the neurosurgeon makes a hole in the skull through which they can put the DBS lead down in deep parts of the brain that help control movement. For this study, research participants will also have an ECoG strip put through the same hole (no extra holes are being made for research purposes). The ECoG strip is a little less than half an inch wide, and a little more than 2.5 inches long. It is very, very thin; it is a thin plastic film with flat metal sensors that ca... Read More

ctDNA-guided Therapy Optimization in Newly Diagnosed DLBCL
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to 1) determine whether it is feasible to measure circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in real-time during standard treatment for newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and 2) evaluate the outcomes of participants with undetectable ctDNA in the middle of treatment who receive a shortened course of chemotherapy. There are no investigational drug agents to be administered in this study. The investigational assay, phased variant enrichment and detection sequen... Read More

Lymphedema Sensor Technology Development Study
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial in adult patients diagnosed with upper extremity lymphedema is to test the safety and effectiveness of small, wearable sensors that may be able to measure lymphedema. The main questions this study aims to answer are: * Do these sensors detect lymphedema? * If so, how accurate are these wearable sensors? Participants will complete one in-person measurement session and one phone call with study staff 14 days after the measurement session to check-in on the partici... Read More

Using a Smart Inhaler to Support Asthma Management in Adolescents With Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
Recruiting
Correct use of daily medications containing inhaled corticosteroids is key for asthma control, yet children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) face additional barriers to proper inhaler use. Smart inhalers, a novel technology that provides guidance and immediate feedback on inhaler use techniques, have been shown to enhance correct medication administration in the typically developing pediatric population, but their effectiveness has not been evaluated on the pediatric IDD po... Peri-implant Mucosal Changes Over Time Following Implant Provisional Removal in the Esthetic Zone
Recruiting
The study will examine the temporary volumetric change that happens in the gums around an implant crown when the crown is removed. The main question of the study is "how much time has to pass to see a significant change, especially when there could be a need to make a mold of the surrounding gum to make a new crown?" The area of the implant crown will be scanned with an intra-oral scanner over a period of 15 minutes.
