The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate if the study drug, CIN-103, can help reduce the symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome with predominant diarrhea (IBS-D) in adult patients. The main questions it aims to answer are: * To evaluate the efficacy of CIN-103 on symptoms of IBS-D when given to patients with IBS-D compared to a placebo. * To evaluate the safety and tolerability of CIN-103 when given to patients with IBS-D compared to a placebo Participants will attend the following visits: * Screening Period (1 Visit) * Baseline Period (1 Visit) * Will complete daily diary and other Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) as described in the protocol to assess eligibility for continued participation. * 12-Week Treatment Period (5 Visits) * Study drug taken twice daily by mouth. * Will complete daily diaries and other PROs as described in the protocol. * Follow- Up Period (1 Visit) Researchers will compare CIN-103 Dose 1, CIN-103 Dose 2, and placebo, to evaluate the clinical response to multiple dose strengths of CIN-103 relative to placebo on abdominal pain and stool consistency along with safety and tolerability. Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a serious public health problem that results in significant health and economic burdens including mortality, morbidity, and poor treatment outcomes. A well-developed field of research suggests that alcohol misuse and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can lead to IPV. Individuals with PTSD and/or problematic drinking behaviors are at risk for IPV because of several factors that are common symptoms of PTSD. Because individuals with PTSD often drink alcohol to "self-medicate" or cope with distressing PTSD symptoms, PTSD co-occurs with alcohol misuse and alcohol use disorder at extraordinarily high rates. However, few studies have examined the combined effects of alcohol misuse and PTSD on any form of violence. This study will examine the effects of alcohol misuse and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) on alcohol-related intimate partner violence (IPV). We will examine these associations among couples (N=70) in a controlled laboratory setting using validated, standardized methods in a 'real-world' settings using 28 days of ecological momentary assessment (EMA). This clinical trial the possibility of establishing a Community Living Labs (CoLLab) Learning Health System to facilitate access to prostate health Risk, Education, and Assessment in the Community with Help (REACH) services in Black men and compares the impact to American Legion Posts with no CoLLab set up at the individual and community levels. Cancer is the second leading cause of death for Black men and Black men are less likely to receive prostate cancer screening. CoLLab Learning Health System utilizes community health workers (CHW) that are well-trained to form a bridge between communities and clinicians. In fact, Black men who work with CHW's typically have better access to health services, gain knowledge about cancer, cancer prevention, treatment and may have better overall health outcomes. Establishing a CoLLab Learning Health System at American Legion Posts may improve access to clinical trials and prostate cancer services in Black men. Read Less

This proposal brings together multidisciplinary teams from four New York City institutions charged with reducing cancer disparities that affect approximately two million people residing in some of the most diverse and underserved communities in the United States. The intent of this collaborative research is captured by its acronym, DISRUPT: Diversity \& IncluSion in Research Underpinning Prevention \& Therapy Trials. To disrupt the norms that maintain heightened risk and poorer outcomes experienced by BIPOC, the research team propose three integrated and synergistic aims to improve diversity and inclusion in CTs through disruptive approaches at the community (Aim 1), provider, system and patient (Aim 2), and basic and translational scientist levels (Aim 3). All three aims focus on metrics for changing norms reified in institutional policies and established practice that will provide essential evidence to translate and scale these changes to institutions and networks involved in cancer treatment research. In Aim 1, the research team will partner with local organizations to formulate and disseminate new norms regarding cancer care and research and diffuse these new norms throughout the community via community organizations and Health Ambassadors bringing a different vantage point on CTs, raising awareness and increasing demand for access to cancer research. In Aim 2, the research team will create an electronic approach to identify key clinical characteristics of patients and trials and match patients and trials and bring these data to patients and their physicians at the time of key decisions. In Aim 3, the research team will provide and integrate essential experiential training in diversity, social determinants of health and the importance of conducting community-relevant work into basic and translational science training. This DISRUPT proposal provides the foundation to disrupt norms about cancer clinical trials in our communities, delivery systems and scientific research enterprises. Read Less

Research has historically excluded the participation of transgender and gender-diverse people. The purpose of this research study is to find out about what goes into a transgender and gender-diverse youth's decision to participate in research. The results of this study will be used to improve access to research for transgender and gender-diverse youth and therefore, improve the representation of transgender and gender-diverse youth as research participants in research. The purpose of this research is to compare two snacks, one with honey and nuts and the other with sugar and nuts, on glucose levels before and after eating these snacks. The investigators hypothesize that honey and nuts will have an additive effect on the reduction of postprandial glucose response. The investigators further hypothesize that consumption of honey paired with nuts will retain the benefit of sugar consumption in satiety and reduction of metabolic stress. Read Less
