Evaluation of the Effects of a Rehabilitation Program in Individuals with Spine Pain
Recruiting
SpineZone is an innovative physical therapy program with its focus on treatment of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar conditions through the use of a multi-disciplinary, technology enabled platform. Standard physical therapy modalities including psychologically informed physical therapy are employed in addition to online coaching with a fundamental tenant of core strengthening. Treatments are tracked and modified in a multi-disciplinary format taking all radiographic studies into direct consideratio... Read More

Topical Ruxolitinib 1.5% for Hidradenitis Suppurativa Treatment
Recruiting
Investigators hypothesize that ruxolitinib 1.5% cream is an effective therapy for HS participants through inhibition of inflammatory activity. Investigators aim to: * Demonstrate the clinical efficacy of ruxolitinib 1.5% cream in decreasing the clinical disease activity after 16 weeks of treatment. * Investigate the impact of ruxolitinib 1.5% cream on skin inflammation through translational analyses of skin biopsy samples.

Time-Restricted Feeding Intervention in Metabolically-Unhealthy Postmenopausal Women
Recruiting
This is a randomized, parallel two-arm clinical trial design to study the efficacy of time-restricted feeding on metabolic risk in postmenopausal women, who may be particularly vulnerable to disruption of circadian eating rhythms and the associated metabolic dysfunction. It is hypothesized that time-restricted feeding will improve insulin sensitivity, glucose tolerance, body weight, and other metabolic parameters in metabolically-unhealthy postmenopausal women.

Enhancing Language Function in Primary Progressive Aphasia
Recruiting
This study's goal is to use non-invasive brain stimulation (NBS) techniques to treat language impairment associated with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA). The purpose of this study is to combine behavioral language intervention with individualized noninvasive brain stimulation techniques, called transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to help the brain reorganize around damage and improve language functions.

Evaluating Genetic Modifiers of Cutaneous Neurofibromas in Adults with Neurofibromatosis Type 1
Recruiting
The main goal of this protocol is to develop a well-phenotyped genetic biobank to identify genetic variants associated with the heterogeneous clinical presentations of Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1). This will allow for improve understanding of NF1 pathogenesis and more personalized disease management. The investigators will conduct a GWAS analysis to identify common genetic risk variants associated with the development of cutaneous neurofibromas.

AN/BN Risk Factors Study
Recruiting
Across the United States, thousands of children and adolescents suffer from eating disorders. Among young women alone, an estimated 2 to 4 percent are dealing with anorexia nervosa. Anorexia nervosa also has the highest mortality rate of any psychiatric disorder and produces a six-fold increased risk for death. Unfortunately, study shows that current treatments are only successful with 25 percent of patients and no eating disorder prevention program has been found to reduce future onset of anore... Ethnic Differences in Mechanisms of Action of Dupilumab
Recruiting
Previous research has shown that Asian and African Americans are more likely to develop atopic dermatitis (AD) than their Caucasian counterparts. However, limited information is known about AD in Asian and African American populations because most molecular studies have focused on Caucasians with AD. This trial will determine differences in inflammatory responses to dupilumab between Caucasian, Asian, and African American patients with AD. The central hypothesis of this study is that ethnic di... The Dynamics of Human Atrial Fibrillation
Recruiting
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is an enormous public health problem in the United States, affecting 2-5 million Americans and causing rapid heart beats, stroke, heart failure or death. In this project, the applicant will develop a novel framework to better understand human AF that builds on agreement between several concepts for the disease. The applicant will develop strategies to identify AF patients who will best respond to each of several therapies, to guide personalized therapy.

Machine Learning in Atrial Fibrillation
Recruiting
Atrial fibrillation is a serious public health issue that affects over 5 million Americans (Miyazaka, Circulation 2006) in whom it may cause skipped beats, dizziness, stroke and even death. Therapy for AF is currently suboptimal, in part because AF represents several disease states of which few have been delineated or used to successfully guide management. This study seeks to clarify this delineation of AF types using machine learning (ML).
